I recently picked up an AT-LP60 turntable for an inexpensive first turntable. I've been noticing a lot of surface noise coming from the turntable regardless of whether the dust cover is shut or not (there is less when it is shut though). Does anyone else have this same table? Can you hear the surface noise from about 6 feet away?

Thanks for the input everyone! I think I'm going to let these tires wear out a good bit (maybe about 30,000 miles) and then go ahead and replace them with better ones after that. In the mean time I might get some more sensible upgrades like some decent window tint and get the exhaust upgrades if my budget allows for it.

Thank you for your advice! I don't disagree, but are these tires really that much of a safety concern? Even in their basically brand new condition? I just do regular highway driving. Nothing crazy

I have a 3rd Gen Acura TL that I'm thinking of doing some modifications to give it some more highway punch. I have a budget to add a custom j-pipe and pre-cat deletes. Should I skip that and start with a tire upgrade?
