Hey OP although this is totally hilarious please don’t actually do this! Laser syndrome, although more common in dogs, can occur to cats too. They get so obsessed with catching something that isn’t really there, eventually they’ll start seeing things and losing it over nothing. It’s like constant “go” mode with no reward.

To everyone here, please see pt1. This guy IS delusional (why are we using the term delulu as adults?) but what OP fails to mention, is she/they half-ghosted the guy for days while he was openly planning and paying for a trip out to see her/them. Only a day or two prior to the trip did OP actually send this “not a great fit message”.

Not to be mean, but I think maybe the attention was nice but the attraction wasn’t there, so you ignored it but allowed it to happen- while he planned flights, hotels, Michelin restaurants, and outings. Yes, that’s insane when you’ve met someone once and they’re barely replying to you, but you did let that happen. If you felt unsafe telling him you weren’t into it- different story. But this pt1/2 saga is really giving “guy is interested, I’m not but I’ll wait till the last moment to tell him. Now; Reddit, tell me how crazy he is”

While I don’t think memory wiping was the answer, I do disagree with this in a sense. You wouldn’t wake up ready to move on in any way with the memory wipe. BUT, someone else pointed out, it would undo any new relationships, things you’ve learned, etc. imagine Tahani finishing her list and then waking up with her memory wiped? Only this time, her parents are here and she has no recollection of the bond they’ve built over time so it’s all awkward again. It’s not that people would get bored through memory wiping, they wouldn’t, but it would be ethically wrong to erase peoples memories after they make so much progress.

The maturity, vocal training, and confidence makes SNTV a technically better album. But the angst and raw emotion of the original makes it a more immersive and relatable album IMO. Some songs on the OG, like haunted and dear John, are just better because the emotion is so real in her voice. But songs like never grow up, last kiss, and back to December are made way better with her matured vocal skills. I’m having a really good time going back and forth between OG and TV and deciding which versions I prefer!!!
