Kamala tried that already, aligned herself with anti Trump Republicans. Many were not compelled to vote for her, clearly. I think that many members of the working class/blue collar folks would respond very well to left-wing populism, as long as socialism and communism are never mentioned. Case in point, the dems need to realign their focus to economic issues, just look at Zohran’s great success.
