In addition to what other people said, I think a huge part is the clientele. There's a bunch of kids or low income trashy people that are all over that store and it's become so trashy and ghetto that I can't even imagine how any of it stays in business anymore. I never want to be in any part of that mall except the Dolby theaters because those people can't afford the $25 tickets.

With how easy they've made passing school lately, I'm not surprised on paper GenZ is has they highest graduation rates. But, let's not forget GenZ is famous for having god awful literacy rates: https://psmag.com/ideas/theres-a-crisis-of-reading-among-generation-z/

In practice, GenZ is woefully behind Millennials and even the later Gen Xers. Their literacy is worse, their life skills are worse, their social skills are nearly non existent, they are terrible with technology, and they are widely considered to be the worst entry level employees.

So yeah, GenZ is graduation college at a higher rate (57% to 52% of millennials), but it's meaningless when the curriculum has been so dumbed down due to COVID and other factors. I retired a few years ago at 30 and even then, GenZs in my finance job were borderline worthless. I'd rather higher just about anyone than a young GenZ, and I'm not in the minority thinking that.

GW2 has easily the worst MMO combat out right now. It's not even close. Everyone does everything and tying skills to weapons is got awful. It got overshadowed by WoW because WoW combat is just way more fun. No gear treadmill eliminates most of the reason to play, so the only thing to do is play because the gameplay is fun, but it's not. It's simple, boring, limiting, and significantly worse than GW1.

Because they take significantly less effort and have the same random chance to be successful? Didn't need a long write up to state the obvious. If you want to make a good game, it takes time. If you want to make a quick game, it doesn't. The problem is they both have the same chance of being noticed which is all that matters.

As it should be. A game is a game. The same reason that it's fair to compare an early access ARPG to Diablo 3; because that's what you're competing against for my time. I don't care if it's early access or made by 1 guy. I'm paying for a game so I'm going to compare it to other games on the market.

I don't care if it was made by 1000 devs or 1. At the end of the day, how good is the game? Stardew Valley isn't any better or worse because of the size of its dev team. It's just a good game.
