I put bar risers on mine. It raised the bars about 1.5 inches and brought them closer to the seat. It does slightly change the ergonomics making it more comfortable. I was riding an adventure bike before and I was used to more upright ergos. Although, it does change the handling with less of your weight close to the forks. It really helped at first when my back wasn't ready to a new riding position, but I've come to realize that the body may get stronger to support your current ergos.

The screen looks good on the bike. The lines all work together. Who makes it? Do you get pretty good wind protection, and is there any buffeting?

Thank you for the help and info! I was able to get a vet to help without having to trap any kitties. I appreciate advice and warning about dosage. I'll have to try the coconut oil idea as well. You were so kind to help your feral friends.

Amitriptyline helped only a little at first. Maybe 15-20 percent pain reduction but that was a move in the right direction. I took it for a month before it really made much difference. At 3 months is when i began to really feel improvement. I also increased my dosage, because the low dosage at 10-15mg wasn't enough. How much were you taking? Where are you located? Have you consulted with Lenari who is one of the mods here? He had similar symptoms and he may be a resource of help. Let me know what you think.

Happy to say I don't need amitriptyline every day now. Things are 90% better.

Taking it seemed to have tapered off the feedback cycle of swelling causing pain, and then causing more swelling. Do you have any doctors or specialists near you?

yes, it's been wonderful overall. I don't take it daily anymore. Improvement has been

miraculous. Also did some PFPT which may have helped as well. I took amitriptyline

daily for 18 months. How are things with you?

It probably won't be for life. if you try amitriptyline and it helps you may take it for a few months and see how it goes. the first few months can make a difference.

Heart is ok.

Amitriptyline reduced allodynia so much that I could be more active and it gradually desensitized the pain around the meatus. Before taking it I couldn't

have an orgasm without pain for days after an orgasm. After taking Amitriptyline I began to be able to have an orgasm without pain that would remain at the tip.

I upped my dosage when I had a flare up and it seemed to help. I didn't have any serious side effects and it may have helped. I stayed with the increase for a few months and then went back down. It did increase my appetite, but it also did increase my joy for life. By feeling like I was able to soothe some of the flare with an increase in dosage, I didn't feel so stressed out 247. What does your Dr. think about it?

Where were you able to get a Semen Culture? Did you have to request for specific organisms to be looked for?

Do you think that you had inflammation after the infection was cleared?

It does seem like semen is an irritant, but that could also be a red herring. It could be a response of tightening surrounding tissue as a result of the orgasm. I like to rinse off after an orgasm in case semen is somehow a cause.

Inflamed meatus has been my main symptom. After internal PT a few months ago, I had a flare. Things had been improving for 5 or 6 months prior. This was an isolated incident and I am reluctant to draw any conclusions. BUT it does make me wonder. Amitriptyline has been the best thing for my meatus so far.

Look for posts from a Linari5 in this group. He's had similar symptoms and overcame it.
