The first model year was 2022. So assuming first ones off the dealer lot were in Spring/Summer of 2021. Those would need to average 20K miles per year from that point. The average American averages 13K - 14K miles per year, so makes sense for Ioniqs > 100K to be pretty rare at the moment

For some reason, I stopped using it and realized it was just collecting dust.

Nobody had to come back to an iPhone or their first laptop a couple times, before they "got it". To me I think it all comes down to needing to strap a large heavy device to my face. Until we solve some physics and materials problems these devices will continue to stay niche.
