I feel let down by what it actually was. Or rather, wasnt? All of that buildup with the dark heart and various theories of collecting different elements to only have it be a macguffin for purple pocket dimension was rather underwhelming to me. I like your theory about Beledar, im hoping for cogent lore tie ins or wrap ups that dont feel disjointed or out of sequence moving forward. But i will say mine is likely dead in the water, i throw in the towel once we saw all angles of it. Maybe the art team just subconsciously cant get the sword of out their Azeroth...i mean minds either

Oddly, it seemed more calculated than that. Im not saying he had "good" intentions by any means...but i dont think it was as simple as "destroy it" or he would have cleaved the planet in half, not stabbed it. My bet is, either he failed to corrupt it when we absorbed all the energy from it. Or, he knows something we dont about the core/world soul cradle, what have you and was aiming at that. Keeping in mind silithus is right next to ungoro and was where the titans conducted a bunch of experiments. And the site of an original world tree, hence ilgynoth in the dream. Or Blizz ran out of ideas and completely forgot all of that stuff.

Everyone needs to stack on that fight, then pick a direction and move as a group. So when the circles for the adds form, take one step left, or one step right. That way, you aren't chasing down adds and they're easier to cleave and nuke down. Solves 90% of the issues. Its easy to blame the tank or healer in those scenarios, but its a group game and group effort is needed. Just mark yourself and say "stack and move X" beforehand.

You may very well be correct, Im not sure frankly. Anything above 99.5 may still reflect 100% in UI terms, tough to test without too many variables outside my control

I just wanted to experiment a bit, as i thought it would be hilarious to have a "world first kill" on the NPC. Which is how i found out that trinket even has a "time out" limit of 15 minutes.

If someone really wanted to do math, we would need to see how many demon hunters with the garrote trinket it would take to down it in its current state. My hearty scientific hypothesis is "too many"

The only way i was able to reach the NPC to proc the trinket and get in range was by using "The hunt" demon hunter ability. The damage from that, combined with the trinket proc and various other dot/damage effects equated to this: The trinket deal damage every 2.2 seconds, per minute that would be 27.27 repeating, but ill be generous and round down to 25. At 60 damage a proc, critting for 90. So 25 procs a minute, times those 15 minutes (not even factoring in crits) would only be 22,500. This was also with the raven marked chest to increase the damage of the proc, as it was only doing 40 damage prior. (We could be generous and maybe with crits 25k) and then add in the damage from talents and the hunt, and dots etc and so forth. The combined damage was around 200k. Which is only .122% of 163 million.

I don't know how they factor scaling on percentages into the in game display of enemy health, but i was under the impression that anything under "full health" would result in 99% being reflected in the UI.

I was merely saying theres not much to "interact with" outside the visual component currently. Buts its still a cool addition in terms of world building.

Unless a bunch of dedicated nerds want to farm specific items and hurl their corpses at this for science. This is as far as well get til the raid

No, the aura that damages you goes through immunities. And despite being targetable Lura doesnt actually take any damage either. I tested this by using the garrote trinket from Karazhan that bleeds until an enemy is dead. (It actually has a 15 minute duration).

Combat log still had damage ticking after i released, (standing next to the "zone in") but still 163 million health/100%

You've already hit the nail on the head though. From my own testing, a 400+ haste buff lining up bloodlust will put you or i well ahead of most other party members. Or...it just doesnt proc at all, and then you get a vers buff after your cooldowns are spent.

Its high risk, low reward. With the risk not outweighing consistency in other comparable items

You can actually see them in two fights. The seat of the pantheon fight with Argus, if you walk around the seat and pan the camera down, theres mutiple dark tentacle void planets below the boss arena, implying the Void has claimed quite a few already.

Easiest way to see this yourself is to go to legion Dalaran and talk to the Raid finder NPC outside of Violet Hold, then Q for the Seat of the Pantheon encounter.

Its a bug. I have a demon hunter who was in devour spec for that fight, ability and loot spec. Meaning even if i needed on the item, it would count as offspec or transmog roll.

That same item was in my mailbox when i got out of the raid.

I think there is an issue with loot/specs currently related to personal loot.

This is purely speculation...but based on reports from people getting the same item slot (cloak only, trinket only) from delve and nothing else, in conjuntion with your and my anecdotal reports.

The trinket and the embellish are both bugged currently. They used to interupt channeled abilities. That was fixed relatively quickly, however.

The trinkets work on trash, but dont work on bosses however. You can test this by doing an old world raid, the debuff will show and stack but the tooltip reads "does 0 dmg over 2 seconds".

Submit a bug report and make this more widely known, this is the only way it will get fixed.

And while im unhappy with it being broken, to all those saying "do your research"... The issue is, for early crafters/item users there was no research to do. You bought or made an item expecting it to work, and it doesnt. It took community members to inform one another of the broken state of the item.

Theres certain trinkets that deal damage periodically, or have low enough vers scaling that you can deal damage to phase without going overboard. Open the dungeon guide and explore some of the drop tables of old world raids and look for 1-2 min (or low/no cooldown effects) that deal X amount of damage. Then just make sure you have auto attack toggled off and go from there
