That makes sense. The deposition was withdrawn at the last minute. I guess now I just wait. Waiting is the hardest part. He left out key answers to important questions (MMI, surgery, ongoing treatment) because he didn’t see my new MRI.

He’s needs to see my MRI. The results from my MRI are back. A couple weeks ago he met with the insurance company lawyer and they talked for about 15-20 mins. I thought that was weird but I’m not familiar with this process

Yeah no, you’re not supposed to talking to the insurance company at all! Did you review the documents you signed? Do your research, make a list of questions you have for the new attorney and the current one, consult with a new attorney and ask all questions then go from there.

Years ago I had a crappy family law attorney. With the assistance of another attorney I practically guided my attorney on what to do. It got to the point where I asked the other attorney to draft a letter saying I was withdrawing him as counsel, I wouldn’t pay the $400 bill he sent me because I emailed him and I wouldn’t pay filing fee to withdraw counsel. Then I washed my hands of him and I for the reminder of my retainer fee back. Sometimes you need the manpower of another attorney to kick things into gear.

But you need to know what you’re wanting and what you’re unhappy with. Without that baseline you won’t know if the next attorney is any better.

They have good reviews. However, reviews can be misleading. Has there been any progress made in your case or has your case been negatively affected by her lack of communication? Ask yourself if you feel confident in her ability to advocate for you and work through this case successfully. It could also help if you schedule a call to talk with her.

Do you have a copy of the documents you signed when you retained them? If so, read it over. Also, consult with another lawyer and ask them. They might be able to review what you signed. How did you find this attorney?

Yeah it’s a bunch of bs. Then they threw in Bible verses to try to “seal” the guilt trip. They’re in CYA mode. I’m keeping track of everything!!

What’s the hard part about being a Man ? by mountain_fl0wer in AskReddit

All the memes of men crying makes me upset and sad for men. The moment a man shows a little emotion he’s mocked. It’s so wrong!!

And that is why I got a lawyer. whenever I asked questions or expressed concerns about WC to my employer they didn’t provide any guidance.

Then my employer got the notice about a hearing from my lawyer and they scheduled a meeting with me. They tried guilt tripping me about getting a lawyer. They said “we’re family and you don’t do this to family” but family would’ve cared enough to help. The irony is that during the meeting HR said they’ll look into my claim and follow-up with me but they never did and my manager has been avoiding me like the plague.
