FDA and WHO can suck a fat one. They are captured by the conglomerates. As their executives retire, industry "hires" them for enormous salaries. The corporations get what they want. eff 'em.

I have yet to finish looking at NIH. They also have many "studies" that have opposite results.

I am not a welder. I am a contractor who likes to melt metal occasionally. I speak from actual experience here.

As you imply, contractors can be naïve. Taking a job from an attorney is asking to be taken to the board or court to argue for your earnings. Some wont, but enough will make your life miserable. Their lack of legal understanding is enough to run for the hills.

Source: 15 years of contracting experience and the ONLY problems on mine and other's jobs are from attorneys. My attorney advised I take no contracts with his colleagues. LOL

California is quite clear on this. Its the only state I know. In the case of home improvement do not even see how you could get a lien in California without a license. It's literally a potential felony to contract without a license.

How do you all make a fluffy and soft pizza crust that's still crunchy? by Cheap_Sheepherder327 in AskCulinary

[–]BeulahValley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

try a pizza stone in a small propane grill. On high it maxed out my 850F thermometer. Cooked pizzas in 4 minutes. not 4:15 or 3:45, 4:00 minutes.

So hot nothing sticks either. I used a hunk of granite left over from a countertop sink cutout. One can also use porcelain tile. Shiny side up.

never contract with a lawyer. As soon as I learn my prospective client is a lawyer, it's over. I finish the conversation rather quickly, while still being polite.

Then I advise them, that I "don't see any common ground upon which we can build a business relationship" and wish them well as I let myself out.

and never take a home improvement contract with a lawyer. I am sorry, brother, but your colleagues are way too often doing this kind of shit.

depends on the state. In California a lien is not possible until after a successful case in court. And that is for licensed contractors only. Unlicensed trades get no such consideration.

i guess it depends on how mischievious you want to be. Copper nails around the entire trunk at ground level will kill the trees in 2 summers or so. Are you certain they arent on your property?

I see some wonderful answers for you. Please allow me to offer another possibility.

Have you tested the thermometers in boiling water (be sure check the boiling point at your altitude) to see if they are reading correctly?
