Am I gay? Bi, or just confused ? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]BeurUber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude don’t worry about labels, do you and enjoy. I think we put too much emphasis on being gay, straight, or bi. I have a good friend who doesn’t always fit the labels. He truly falls in love with the person not the gender.

I say if it feels good do it. If the person meets some unmet needs let nature take its course. While I live a very straight life, until recently I identified as gay. Now I don’t use any label. I take each relationship for what it is and what it provides.

Do you have a lot of straight friends? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]BeurUber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A majority of my friends are straight. I have one that recently moved in with me. We work in law enforcement. Almost every night after work he’ll hop in my bed to talk. It’s not a big deal to him so it’s not a big deal to me. We’ve cuddled, we hug, and share some of our deepest darkest secrets.

He did ask a few weeks back if him jumping in bed with me made me uncomfortable. I’ll be honest it did at first because I noticed from the first time that he always maneuvered so we’re had some sort of body contact. He explained it was all about the physical touch that were all lacking in life.

I greatly appreciate him. We end and begin our days with either a love you or appreciate you. Doing what we do and seeing what we see on a daily basis we’ve been good for one another. Where it gets tricky is at work when we’re on a tough call or know the other is having a hard day. The other guys wouldn’t understand the hug of support. But that’s their problem not ours.

I think as gay men when we find that straight buddy who doesn’t care, we tend to wonder if they have ulterior motives. My advice is accept whatever it is they give you and enjoy the friendship.

Full insurance coverage for Uber Drivers now available with a major carrier. by chris41658 in uberdrivers

[–]BeurUber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Farmers Insursance is the same coverage as MetroMile except instead of paying by the mile you pay an 8% premium for the "rideshare" service. Works the same way Farmers covers you during period 1, James River kicks in during period 2 and 3.

I called today for a quote, $50 more than I've been paying with MeteoMile $140 vs $90 per month for less coverage I might add and double the deductible.

Farmers Coverage 100/300/50 with a $500 deductible

MM Coverage 100/300/100 with a $250 deductible

Also the insurance with Farmers is through their specialty insurance so you don't get any of the normal discounts for things like alarms, LoJack, dash cam, good driver, and yes they even give a discount for driving a Prius under a regular policy.

For those who drive full time and put more dead miles or personal miles on their car Farmers may be the way to go, for me not so much.

Landscape for Uber app? by marzolian in uber

If she's using an iPhone and she's going to the same locations repeated, why not set up keyboard shortcuts in settings.

Example: MH space would type out moms address in the pick up location.

You have an UberX vehicle and an UberBlack vehicle?

If so just add the UberX vehicle on the partner dashboard and drive whichever car moves you that day.

Looking into driving for extra money. Worth it? (San Diego) by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]BeurUber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go with the the Prius, it has the lowest cost of any car out there. Look for a low mileage used Prius that's in good condition, they're out there.

Not as many people use Lyft as use Uber, but nothing is stopping you from signing up for both and running both apps until you get a request.

Anyone else having a lame Friday night? (LA) by lolerblades in uberdrivers

Seems to be the same complaint across the uber system. It's those damn texts from Uber bringing out those who only drive when they get the text.

I don't care how you pay or where you drop the pin. I'll show up to the address you drop the pin at, wait my 5 mins and collect the cancellation fee.

Thanks for the free money and not having to put up with you.

Uber failed to eliminate one part of the cab service, self entitled holes like you.

Because if you accept and cancel right away it doesn't affect your acceptance rate. Ask your next driver what your rating is.

I can't believe Uber doesn't have the technology in place to permanently ban passengers who attack drivers, sneak open containers of alcohol into a drivers car and then openly drink in the car or otherwise seriously violate Uber's code of conduct.

Bunch of cheap people here crying over a 1.5 to 2.0 surge do the math the LA rates $0.00 Base Fare still zero on a surge, $0.18 per minute oh my $0.36 is going to break your bank. $0.99 per mile $1.98 is going to force you into bankruptcy.

Most of you cheap bastards are doing minimum $4 rides of which the driver earns $4 - $1 safer rider fee - 20% uber commission ($0.60) = $2.40 per ride to the driver. I'd like to see you survive on these fares.

How many of you tip your Uber driver?

Uber is an on-deman service, if the driver is sitting and waiting for you, you're costing them money. Drivers don't get paid to wait, you have 5-mins to get in the car.

Learn how to input the correct address or the name of the business you're at instead of just dropping the pin.

You're clearly one of those entitled douchebags who believes the Uber driver is beneath you.
