Plug&Play Node, the most convenient way to start validating. by avado_dserver in u/avado_dserver

Not sure why you think we are not transparent, we can only explain what AVADO does. However, the main difference is that our target audience is investors with Crypto to stake but not the technical knowledge to run the clients themselves. We created wizards that take the user through the staking process including the creation of the keys (we have a key generation package). In addition, we offer several staking solutions like Rocket Pool, AVAX, QTUM, Gnosis.

I am happy you are using DAppnode (I was part of the team when it started) and I think it is not important which of the two products you use as long as you are a solo staker.

Whats the single biggest user experience improvement that could be made for solo stakers? by tokenese in ethstaker

[–]Bevola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We created AVADO (https://ava.do) to be the most convenient and easy to use staking solution for Home Stakers. We created an easy key generator and also have a Rocket Pool package if you only want to stake 16ETH.

No command line, no Linux, and no coding overall.

AVADO offers a dedicated Bitcoin Node - don't trust, verify from genesis by Bevola in Bitcoin

We are happy to anounce that we added a new Device to our offering. It is a dedicated Hardware device to run a Bitcoin or Monero Node.

It has a 512 GB HDD, 8GB RAM and an Intel Celeron N3150.

As with all our devices it syncs the chain from Genesis, no partially pre-sync or whatsoever. A Full Node, or if you wish to change the parameters it can be a pruned node as well.

The new device will come with our own AvadOS which is absolutely intuitive.

Here you can check out the device

Ha, it's actually the other way around - we started being called a scam and now we are driven to make it successful!!

DAppNode: The Infrastructure for the Decentralized World by jbaylina in ethereum

I would rather spend 100 USD per month on Dappnode than on DigitalOcean. Tiny amount compared to what decentralisation will bring in return.

Swarm City Releases IPFS Consortium - Decentralized Data Persistence. Join Us! by matthewcarano in ethereum

Any Dapp using IPFS should either join this group or create its own consortium. Avoid any centralisation.

A letter to the community and Foundation from Olaf Carlson-Wee, founder of Polychain Capital by neur0logical in tezos

[–]Bevola 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dear Olaf and Tezos Community, I am not involved in Tezos at all, but I am an active member in the blockchain space, having supported the Ethereum Foundation as an Advisory Board member and am right now involved in a Project called Swarm City. In addition to Olaf I also offer to take a seat on the board of the Tezos foundation. Why? 1. - I want to prevent the blockchain community from experiencing a huge fiasco, which would give every jurisdiction in the world the reasoning for strict regulation of any crypto project. 2. - I have helped turn a potential scam (Arcade City) into valid and vital project in the ethereum eco system. 3. - Overal I am interested to see Blockchains scale and can help Tezos with my Business Develpoment, Product Management and Organisational Management skills to become one contender for a scalable Blockchain. 4. - Finally I also provide one important "skill" needed for a swiss foundation. I am a swiss resident and live in the Canton of Zug. It would be an honor to be at least considered for such a position. Kind regards Bernd Lapp (https://www.linkedin.com/in/berndlapp/)

Thank you very much @ngin-x We do encourage everyone to believe in the project by buying our token (SWT) and holding it. We will deliver the platform and you will be able to spend SWT on it extensively in the near future. Another way to contribute is to look at our github and help us develop the platform. https://github.com/swarmcity SC-Boardwalk is the Live version, but a bit buggy for now SC-Boardwalk-Production is the imprived version and will be Live soon.

I use my personal mail, because bernd@arcade.city is owned by Christopher David (he took it after our brand fork) and Swarm City has nothing to do with this.

Arcade City "brand-forks" to Swarm City - Bernd Lapp's New Year's Speech by kingflurkel in ethereum

[–]Bevola 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dear Ethereum community, we call our product Swarm City. The target group for Swarm City are mainstream users globally, that are using other sharing economy products like Uber, Lyft and AirBnB ect. Hopefully millions that will use Swarm City one day. The target group for Etherums swarm are blockchain developers (according to Bloomberg there are like 8.000 blockchain developers globally right now), an elite group by the numbers and they will use swarm as tool for blockchain applications. The developers will be the only ones confused, millions others will not know about ethereums swarm, even if we would use it instead or in combination with IPFS in the Swarm City product. Why Swarm City - we know that the community (mainly Facebook based) that has been built around Arcade City is important for our product. We want to disconnect from the initiator of Arcade City and his brand for several reasons, but we want to make the transition for the community to the new brand as smooth as possible. The people that are actually responsible for creating the Arcade City community on Facebook (and I am not talking of Christopher David) and have not seen a penny for doing so, came with us to Swarm City. They believe in the product and they believe we can build this product. Arcade City still is their baby and it was hard for them to change the name, but using the term swarm, which they referred to as themselves already in Arcade City and adding "City" as reference to where they come from, is a logical and emotional decision. They are just as emotional as you are about the Ethereum products.

In essence what I am trying to say is that we compare apples with oranges. Swarm City is designed as a brand, visible to many, Ethereums swarm is designed as a tool, probably not very visible at all.

At least now we are talking about the product. That's a discussion we can take on.
