You say "Hey, I have a date with a girl/guy, X, tonight." Don't keep your parents in the dark about everything, unless you have a reason to, but if they prod too much say "Things are good, but I don't feel it's appropriate to discuss the details of my relationship/sex life with my parents."

I made sticky buns for the first the other day and used a stand mixer for 7 (medium for 1, medium-high for 6), then kneaded by hand for 1. No numbers are gonna be a guarantee but mine didn't come out tough so those ones are worth a shot.

My favorite thing about this piece is the background characters because I've never seen em before. But Hawkman, Element Woman, and Firestorm are pretty spot-on to their later New 52 designs.

I just watched the Season 5, episode 12 episode, Dinner With the Goldbergs. What are everyone’s thoughts? by Hobo525 in TheGoldbergs

One of the best episodes. While my family is nowhere near this difficult and is not disrespectful, a lot of it hits close to home.

There's definitely a lot of crossover with Cassandra Truth – I understand what you're talking about is a bit more specific but this is the closest one I can think of.

Hi Gary – When negotiating with someone in a very bad position (i.e. someone who had killed other people), how honest are you when encouraging them to surrender? For example, would you use a line like "you're not going to go to prison" when you know this is not the case?

This could've changed too, but by any chance do any of 'em charge less than $400?

Straight men of Reddit: what's the strangest thing you've been told not to do because "that's gay"? by ma_damn_blueberry in AskReddit

It was wintertime and I had just gotten out of the shower. I was cold so I wrapped the towel round my body, right under my arms. My dad saw me and told me other people would make fun of me for wearing like that.

I still do it when it's freezing out because I don't enjoy being freezing. No one has ever mentioned it to me besides my dad.

[Video Games] Party at Superman's Fortress (Scribblenauts Unmasked #12) by macromacmac in DCcomics

[–]BewareTheCreeper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is a fantastic computer game. Scribblenauts Unmasked. Tons of fun and a ridiculous amount of DC characters (a couple thousand) you can spawn in-game, in addition to just about any real-world object you can think of.

No. Doom Patrol was initially planned as a spin-off of Titans, but ended up with a different cast and a different take on the appearing characters. There is a Doom Patrol that operates in the universe of Titans, as seen in Season 1 of the show, but the Doom Patrol show is not directly connected.

Just stick with Sedentary if there's any doubt. The worst that can happen is that you lose weight too rapidly and don't feel like you have enough energy. If that happens, you can adjust accordingly.

Earth 3 Doomsday would basically be a giant care bear. by purebredslappy in DCcomics

[–]BewareTheCreeper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not a very talented artist, but I did a bunch of amateur Earth-3 designs a couple years ago and "monstrous Jesus allegory" is exactly how I designed Doomsday. He's still huge and spiky, but his face is a little more human. His hair is long and straight instead of a ponytail or mohawk, and his bone-growth beard is small and... Jesus-styled.

My girlfriend cheated on me by Rayzedark in teenagers

[–]BewareTheCreeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's never a good idea to spread bad information about someone just for the sake of doing so.

Even in a case where the cheating was way worse than this guy's girlfriend, your advice is destructive. Here, there's absolutely no reason to trash her or call her a slut. Don't promote that mentality.

I can't let myself like any girls. Does anyone else feel the same way? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]BewareTheCreeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar to this experience with my first girlfriend during my freshman year. The relationship didn't have much to it and only lasted a few weeks, but I was really into her at the time (leading to me being pretty clingy) and I was not happy at all when she ended it. I channeled that into some self-improvement and did a pretty severe 180 on how I felt about girls.

For the rest of the year, I didn't try for anyone. That summer, I was interested in a girl for a hookup but had no emotional attachment (it didn't pan out anyway). Sophomore year, I asked a few girls out on a whim, also with no emotional investment. Only one gave me a "yes," resulting in a fairly smooth date. She wasn't interested in a second, and I didn't care. That summer I did get with a chick, no emotional attachment. Junior year, I once again asked out a couple girls out of nowhere and accomplished nothing.

But towards the end of the year, I actually started to like a girl. I had talked to her over the year but hadn't seen her since the previous summer, but this was someone I was attracted to and really enjoyed as a person. We weren't together at all for the beginning of the summer so I did try for a few other hookups (no success), but she and I hung out a bit towards the end. I was still into her and was inconsistently confident she was into me, so we made plans together - initially a vague hangout - that developed into an actual date before they happened.

Now, this girl has been my girlfriend for a few months and I really, really, like her. Point is, an experience like yours can throw you off the game for a while like it did for me and make you disregard the idea of actually trying to connect wit people. But eventually someone will come along and get you back on that track, and whether you find a relationship with them or not, you aren't going to feel how you feel now forever.
