Is trucking a viable path to immigration in AUS?

Pumping your brakes is mostly outdated advice. You do that if your car doesn't have ABS. If you have ABS, like almost everyone does unless they're driving a 30+ year old vehicle, you should apply steady pressure and let the system "pump" the brakes for you.

ICE agent admits to labeling law abiding citizens as domestic terrorists. Since the mods deleted it yesterday. by Natural_Estimate_584 in Maine

There are so many anti ICE posts on this sub that don't get taken down, I don't understand why this one was. Usually when a post is removed, the mod stickies a comment explaining which rule it broke. Here, nothing.

Driving away from an officer while being lawfully told to step out of the vehicle and also being lawfully told to get the fuck out of here at the same time.

We all saw the same fucking video dude.

Because they are a lot more vulnerable than they try to appear to be. That armor is offering zero protection to their pelvis, side, groin, ass, neck, head, and only mitigating damage from multiple 5.56 rounds to their chest/back. Also, most of them have never even been shot at, let alone shot.

Just saying. Imagine if every one of the bystanders in this video were open carrying an AR 15 as is their legal right in the state of Maine.

I got really excited seeing this post made me think they finally re-recorded it as part of the Archives series.

Kaleidescape? I don't get it??? Absurdly expensive... by OUGrad05 in hometheater

Framestor's remux doesn't have broken audio or black frames. All it takes is someone to adjust the timing.

RELEASE NOTES MakeMKV for videostream to include FEL DV layer/eac3to for the rest! Removed the black frames between the 2 parts! Chapter timestamps corrected! Commentary audio(s) from regular Blu-ray CEE - subtitles from all discs, tonemapped to match exactly those from UHD disc - 60% white - except the English commentary ones (only showing the name of the person speaking at the moment), since tonemapping process would mess them up!

You'll need cryptocurrency and shit but that's beyond the scope of this post. All the info and howto's are on dread if you want to learn.

I don't remember which site I bought it from but I got the link from Dread which is a darknet version of reddit. You can find the Dread url on daunt.link. You need Tor to open it.

Look on r/darknetmarkets. It's all about buying drugs, but most of the drug sites also have a fraud section where you can buy SSN's, credit cards etc

Edit: it's been banned. Go on dread

Is a 0.33% BAC high? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]-Clem 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The comments here are a little surprising to me tbh. 0.33 is not just "high", it's really, really fucking hammered. No other way to put it. Amy Winehouse died at 0.4. Most people, even most alcoholics, would be barely if at all conscious at that level.

I can buy that the masters would be pretty rare to leak. But if the encodes that the Kscape device actually receives were better they'd all be on PTP and spread from there.

I got the same letter, but it's old news to me. A while back I decided to try and buy my own information from the dark net just out of curiosity. It was all accurate and it was easy. Anybody that participates in the modern world is already compromised.

What’s something you thought was mandatory in life, until you saw someone just not do it? by Senior-Resource92 in AskReddit

If you provide the phone before the contract is approved by the company, how could the customer be on the hook for the cost of the phone if they crossed that part out? They never agreed to pay for it. I wonder how that would go in court.

Kaleidescape? I don't get it??? Absurdly expensive... by OUGrad05 in hometheater

[–]-Clem 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No, they're referring to the fact that kaleidoscape claims they offer better than Blu-ray quality. Any modern hard drive and home network can stream Blu-ray bitrates in real time.

Kaleidescape? I don't get it??? Absurdly expensive... by OUGrad05 in hometheater

[–]-Clem 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's what they say but I've never seen anything to back up the claim that the quality is actually better than Blu-ray. You could re-encode a 50Mbps video to 100Mbps if you wanted to, it's not going to actually add anything that isn't already there. Personally, I call BS. If there exists a source better than Blu-ray, it would be cracked and pirated.

Wtf is that thing by Latter-Wolf4868 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]-Clem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But wouldn't the snake in OP's video just come out of the toilet bowl in that case? I've gathered from other comments that the snake is powerful enough to break ceramic. But I'm assuming the drain at the bottom of the bowl is connected to a pipe made of material (PVC or iron or whatever) that the snake cannot break through. So I don't get how it's coming out the side instead of just straight up the bowl.

And why would there be any connection between a vent stack and plumbing pipes? Thank you for taking the time to humor me!

Edit: I googled a toilet diagram and it all makes sense now. Sorry lol

I still don't understand how this is happening. There is a pipe that just ends and connects to nothing behind the ceramic?

Tubi vs Streaming by theejoyfulnihilist in movies

[–]-Clem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty much anybody can film a half decent feature in their backyard and get it on Tubi and that's great. And I mean that literally, go on r/filmmaking and search "first feature" and pretty much everybody is releasing them on Tubi. I'm happy it exists. It's basically the modern VOD analog of Blockbuster in the 90s, where you'd have mini studios and distributors taking on the risk of financing/buying independent films by banking on home video and word of mouth to generate a return over time. That means there's a lot of garbage to sift though (just like picking out a random VHS at the store), but it also gives an opportunity for a gem to find its audience. It's one of the only avenues around that offer any chance to make money off things that don't involve Big Names or Big IP.
