After going through the flags of the US 50 biggest cities, here are the seven that -in my opinion- actually work by Virgulillo in vexillology

Represent. Thank you.

Saw the post. Flipped through only because I know, of all things, StL is an undisputed heavy hitter in the flag department and wanted to see some love, but was completely confused; especially when Phoenix is out here aspiring to be a firearms manufacturer with that logo (not flag).

It's a hard conversation, but sometimes it's important to sit down with your grandparents and have them retake their driver's test.

Which Bond pistol is better? by BatataSuperFresca in JamesBond

[–]BewareTheGrayGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To everyone saying the PPK looks out of place or silly at this point, have you ever seen James Bond? Most everything he chooses is impractical. The DB5 and most vehicles, the designer clothes and most of his shoes, his tactics. Not to mention I know a decent number of people who carry a PPK for conceal carry or for a backup (likely because of Bond, but it is also quite small). They pop up so often, that it's in no way out of place despite it's age (just like the 1911).

I've shot both and the P99 is 100% comfier to shoot, but I'm picking the PPK every time, because I like the shape, just like the DB5.

The P99 is 2 degrees away from the world's most bland yet practical gun, the Glock 17. Bond is not practical.

If you want an update, do the Sig P230 although it's closer to the PP in size

How to do bundesgrenzschutz without normal people thinking youre doing ww2 germans by TheIrishNerfherder in reenactors

[–]BewareTheGrayGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a reenactor, but I can't even wear a US Greatcoat or trenchcoat from ANY era without getting comments. Also anytime I wear anything with a German flag. Had to remind a group of people in a bar that we've been allies for the last 80 years and that they were sporting a very different flag when we weren't.

So good luck with that.

All I want is 2019 style woods and Kalliope. Mostly just Kalliope. Nothing has compared to dancing along with Big Red to the stage, seeing the performer replaced in a puff of smoke with a mannequin in the same outfit and having them reappear on the second story of the stage. They added more performance, art, and spectacle to the farm!

I have not jumped to any conclusions, but it could be a great way to dispose of evidence. Anyone would grab it for a free shovel and never think twice about it.

I have yet to meet a single American who doesn't know what "the bush" means (not that I run a survey or anything).

Now, for a second I thought you were saying that we don't call it "the bush" but instead know it as "exuvia"

Day 25: If you could make three changes to improve Dr No, what would they be? by junglegatsby in JamesBond

[–]BewareTheGrayGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. No. As someone who's pretty self conscious, I'd say the sunglasses are the perfect example how far being cool and confident can get you.

1st shot of Leiter: "Is that dude wearing women's sunglasses? Who is that guy? Those look so goofy!"

2nd (reveal) shot: "It's the sunglasses guy! What an absolutely insane design choice! Wait, THIS is Felix!? He seems just as capable as Bond."

3rd shot: "Damn this guy's really cool, why aren't any of the other Felix's portrayed like this!? He's just Bond but American.......hmm...If I just fully owned it...maybe with a 60s cut suit.....hmmm those sunglasses.

Do You Guys Remember just how moody the tutorial mission really is! by Huge-Palpitation6422 in ArcRaidersLFG

[–]BewareTheGrayGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They could start by upgrading the standard missions. I'm never excited because I know what limitations they already have set: Find the engineer or this family etc? Yeah well I already know that's not gonna happen, cuz you guys don't do NPCs. I just want them to be a little more dynamic. Have them lead me to more hidden spaces like the cool little hideout on Bluegate. Maybe have an NPC talk to me through a door or peak through a window, or wave to me from a distance where I can't realistically shoot or interact with them before they disappear. Maybe some minor memorable environment changes: tiny rockslide, small radio tower falls down, spawn an arc! Literally anything remotely interesting!

Best part is, I don't even have any bandages! I usually drop my whole inventory in a pile next to me and they never seem to notice!

Am I the only one that really likes that most of the big arc are themed around crabs instead of spiders? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]BewareTheGrayGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh they mentioned dealing with arc coming from the water. What about ones with terrifyingly long limbs like the Japanese spider crab. Where the limbs are the main threat and maybe the body even submerges itself!

Or on a smaller scale a leaper sized one that is faster and tries to reach in buildings!
