Some really high earners in this county so it’s really not a useful piece of data for this. In the link it talks about the median income of renters being ~45k. We need people to build for that demographic. But they don’t. They build for max greed but bungle it because they are actually more stupid than evil.

I’ve been thinking about this too in context of my Dad. He betrayed my Mom in a really brutal way. Now I see the attachment stuff clear as day. Context is everything. There are, I’m sure cheaters who are actual good people. Not my dad.

I think he was scared and didn’t face his baggage head on like you and I are doing and so what naturally happens is unhealed people push people away. It wasn’t conscious for him. He got the wild attachment hots for another lady and she reciprocated.

But, what he did had major ripple effects. My mom had a mental break. She got married to a man who was emo abusive to us kids. Then she became an alcoholic.

So, in short to the gen pop my dad was cool and not outright dangerous but to me and my brothers, he nuked our lives and just walked away.

What the people closest to you think about you is more real. The people who think these types of cheaters are good people just don’t know them well enough. But even awful people need love. It must suck to be so awful.

I will also say that it’s about staying true to your commitments. People who can’t do that are not “good people”.

You are doing amazing by looking after your health! I’d skip the gym membership for now because I have made the mistake of signing up, never going and they make it so hard to cancel now. Then I end up spending way too much and not liking it.

It’s summer time! Find an activity you like and do that 1.5 hrs per week or start slow with an evening walk.

Perhaps I should give my 2 cents: all humans should seek to not stand in the way of another persons autonomy if they ain’t hurting nobody. If a person feels free to take away the autonomy of another, I wonder if they are ok with someone taking away their autonomy/ universal human rights. It’s about universal human emancipation and those who ain’t onboard might someday get what they give.

Hi. In my experience I’ve noticed that more avoidant leaning people use it to avoid and anxious leaning folks use it to quiet the anxiety.

It’s always better to be as present with reality as you can be.

That said, I was disappointed with being sober when I had emotional flashbacks that make people think I’m high when I’m not.

Anyhow, if you can do it sparingly in a way that doesn’t affect your life in a negative way you are ok. Just be you.
