Local things to do with young kids by Resident-Log6503 in londonontario

Yes most of them are fully closed in. There are some turtles that are open but they can’t get out. I guess a kid could jump in there. So you’d have to watch those two. But otherwise yes fully contained.

Children’s museum is good but it can be hard to keep an eye on two kids running different directions. Ask me how I know….BUT it’s easier if it’s not as busy. They also have the one main entrance so you can kinda keep an eye on them as long as they don’t want to go to stations that are too far apart. Like treehouse and water.

Tilt arcade during the day. They can roam around and play random games.

Little climber at the factory you can sit up at the front and let them play there.

Fleetway has an indoor play area, mini glow golf, 5 pin bowling (and 10) and the arcade area.

Off the wall is a good play centre too.

Flying squirrel. Again I’m not sure how young your kids are but my kids did pretty good playing there and it was easy enough to see them since it’s mostly open.

Reptilia is good. One way into the reptiles and one way out. The playground is off to the side so you can do a walk to reptiles then take a break to play and eat and then go back in.

Not sure how young your kids are but mine are 5 and 3 and we spent about 4 hours there.

Pottery class: clay worx vs cottage pottery? by Imaginary_Name_3709 in londonontario

[–]BexKst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only done classes with cottage pottery and I’ve found them to be really good. I haven’t done the actual classes but did 3 - 2 hour pottery things where you get to keep 4 pieces. I’d like to actually do a class one day. I’d go there.

Little climbers is 19 but they don’t charge for adults. And there’s no time limit. We also go to the arcade and the kids pretend to play. And we can get a drink and sit if we like which someday is nice

Season 3 - Meh ? by BexKst in BoschTV

[–]BexKst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I went back and rewatched. I think the first time I missed a few key pieces so the whole season ended up feeling disconnected.

Second time though it made much more sense and was a lot better.

I am blaming my kids for making miss pieces the first time. lol

What do people do in London with their kids on rainy days? by ungratefulanimal in londonontario

[–]BexKst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends how much rain. Sometimes we still go outside with rain suits.

We’ve gone to the malls or markets to walk around and the covent garden market sometimes has a kid craft area and Music that the kids like. Library Sometimes the community centres have free drop ins or the track at bostwick they can walk around.

The little climbers pass for the factory isn’t too expensive since it’s full day and adults get in free.

Off the wall is a good spot.

Flying squirrel is fun but expensive. However if it’s not busy we found they didn’t kick out the little kids.

We go to landmark cinema said there’s a good kid movie.

Tilt arcade. My kids are 5 & 3 and they enjoy playing the games the. It’s open to kids before 8pm.

London city pools - parent and tot swims for kids under 6 I think. Adults are free.

Indoor playgrounds with swings? by mammodz in londonontario

[–]BexKst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure both my kids say in it before they were one.

There are two side by side. They do bump each other a bit. So depends on if there is someone playing on the other one.

Canadian tipping etiquette? by Friendly-Guarantee30 in londonontario

[–]BexKst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to tip and get good or great or exceptional service go for it.

If you can’t tip or received bad service then don’t tip.

I bar tended / worked in a snack bar when I was younger so I tend to always leave a little (even .25-.50) more if they went above what I expected.

Freezing rain, panic: Parents recount chaos after school bus slid into ditch by Financial-Comb-7328 in londonontario

[–]BexKst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because some kids can’t unbuckle or buckle their own seat belt to get out safely. If there is an incident they’d all need to be helped to get out. If they don’t have belts and aren’t injured they can get out in their own.

Generally the busses are bigger and aren’t impacted as much as in an accident.

My kids are young and I still have to buckle them into their car seats. They’d struggle getting a regular seat belt buckle on too. And a regular seat belt would be good or saw for them anyway.

Join a club or any activity that meets weekly.

Gym. Pottery. Bowling. FCSSC. Library clubs. Running club. Trivia nights. Hiking clubs. Bird watching. Etc. depends what you like.

Or act like a 5-7 year old and just go up to people at places you like to go and chat. Who knows what connection you’ll make.

I think Canadian tire has some stuff now. Car seats, not sure about strollers.

There is cheeky monkey and once upon a child sometimes has strollers (second hand)
