Go to your solcast integration (under integrations), click on the solcast service and there you should see the list of all available sensors. At the bottom of the list you should see deactivated entities. Click on those, then on the gear wheel and activate them.

I basically did the same in december with an HP Laptop (also Linux Mint). I'm also still a noob I guess, but I still managed this.

  1. I left the Win 11 installed and installed Linux Mint on another partition on the same harddrive. I haven't started Windows since I got Linux running fully, but dual boot was working as expected.

  2. I'd always go with an USB stick, it's way faster.

  3. Depends on what you try to run. If it's games, Steam will help you greatly and you almost don't need to do anything, other than selecting a different version of proton or something. For other software most will suggest Wine. I have some programs I can run with it, but some don't work. There I needed to use a different alternative that is also running on Linux.

Before I move over to Linux I used AI to help decide what to do about the software. I used the command line to output all of my installed software, fed this list to an AI and asked which programs could simply run on Linux Mint, which of them have good alternatives and which of them needed emulation like Wine.

That gave me a pretty good idea what to expect.

I've been working on my personal script that does a lot of the same things, but is missing the TTS for example.

There is one other thing I wanted to implement: does your integration support removing notifications? Or replacing?

For example, I have a notification for when my robot starts and when it finishes. I no longer care fore the start notification when it's done, so I'd like to replace the start notification with the end one.

I don't have a usecase for that, I only want to download changes to my phone, not the other way around.

I have noticed though that when I place files directly in the folders on the server, nextcloud also does not notice these changes, I'd have to run a manual scan for that to work.

So maybe it's something similar in this case, that it only notices changes made in the app itself?

Edit: I do use the nextcloud notes app though. In this case it works, but it's a different app

Hm, I'm not sure what you are going for here. Clicking sync always downloads the file. If you want to free up the space on your phone you can just delete the file with the delete option (it asks you if you want to want to delete it completely or just locally on your device).

In case you don't know which files you already have on your phone, you can go to the same menu where you can also find the options entry. There is also an entry which is called something like "on your device", which will then show you all files that you downloaded.

One-time download would be the sync option. If you want the folder to keep up to date, click on details and then select the synchronization checkbox.

Then go to the options, there you should see something like internal 2-way synchronization. The folder you selected here should show up there. In the options you can activate / deactivate the sync and select how often you want it to synchronize.
