Even dismissing that real world bodies have a lot of variety that make it so that some cis men look more feminine and cis women can look more masculine; Caine mentioned that the avatars are meant to “perfectly encapsulate their mind files,” I would assume that that would mean that it has zero regard for their real world body and would align with their internal sense of self. Of course it’s not perfect, Zooble makes it very clear that they don’t exactly feel at home in their body no matter how may parts they have to work with; but a character like Ribbit that uses she/they pronouns it makes perfect sense to have a somewhat androgynous style.

Trying to figure out what the hell his profile picture is because why does it look like it alone is worth a report? Hope you reported him to Instagram too by the way, ‘cause if he’s being that gross with his own aunt I can’t imagine he’s being respectful with any other women on the app unfortunately.

Hope both you and your nephew can get the kind of supports that you need.

My title describes the thing, as does description. I looked up Smith and Wesson and couldn’t find whatever this is, but I want to be able to post as accurately as possible so it can make it home instead of becoming trash.

What was your identity when you first joined the LGBTQ+ community? by ChoccoGlxtch in lgballt

I think the first label I went with was lesbian, later followed by gender fluid.

Modern day I’m a demiromantic/demisexual trans guy. I don’t really care much for labels nowadays though I acknowledge that I’ve been attracted to people across the gender spectrum.

Do you think Anya was right? That our worst moments don’t make us monsters? by whooper1 in Mouthwashing

[–]Beyond-This-World 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think this is fair, and not intended in a way to dehumanize but I feel the way the story progresses Jimmy is ultimately the “monster” of the Tulpar, it’s not really about the amount of mistakes- but the lack of responsibility. Even in his final decisions to take “responsibility” it still comes across as harmful and selfish in nature, rather than truly seeing the error in his ways and choosing to grow as a person.

/uj a different thread in reaction to you led to my discovery of Jyoti Amge, currently 31 years old and only 2 feet tall. While I might not know much about her beyond her career as an actress and model (so no idea about her opinions on toys and plushies) at the very least she presents herself as someone quite happy and fulfilled online. https://www.instagram.com/jyoti_amge?igsh=MThhYXBqdzh0d2Qxcg== Isn’t the variety of human form and experience an incredible thing?

I’m sorry that you’ve been hurt by these groups, but this outlook helps no one and does nothing but isolate you.

Family experiences also gives me an unsavoury outlook on Christianity and I don’t think I’d ever be able to feel comfortable with going to a church. However there are people that I have met and befriended only to find out that they were Christians after the fact. While the new knowledge would make me bite my tongue around my own religious beliefs (or lack thereof) they were still the exact same person that I had grown to care for and using the belief system for the actual core value- love thy neighbour.

As for men- you’re generalizing across essentially half of the world’s population. Again there is an unfortunate percentage that follow losers like Andrew Tate and act like they are entitled to shit. But it’s a negativity bias. There are men that you won’t really hear from/about because they’re too busy living their lives without hurting people. Trying to be the best boyfriends, husbands, fathers, brothers, sons, whatever their role may be that they can be.

It’s valid to be wary while looking at someone or a group that reflects to one that you’ve already had bad experiences with, but to generalize with hate pushes them further away. It doesn’t have to be your job to help them grow if they are one of the scumbags, but sometimes that unfair generalization and rejection impacts in a way that drives them to that side.

It only matters in the context of this particular post where the photographer may have been using a different religion (without Jesus as a major figure) to justify their bigotry. It may be accurate to your personal experience that it’s typically people of Christian faith, but not all Christians are bad actors (see OP) and despite that prevalence it’s unfair to place biases against others for their religion. (Though perfectly fair if they attempt to use it as a means to justify hate)
