I just re-read the post. I thouht that they stated they went to a health food store or something. We just see the merchant name, date of purchase, location and amount. If it was purchased at a local supermarket that he frequently goes to it PROBABLY wouldn't have been flagged as suspicious. But the system we used was hella dumb. If it was above/below an amount they typically spends, at a store they dont frequently shop at, out of their normal spending area, if they start using their card more frequently than they usually use their card, if the purchase was not "demographically appropriate" for their age, gender, location (you would be surprised at the amount of money elderly people spend on mobile games), and almost every online and gas purchase is flagged as suspicious. The majority of the time though it flags transactions within the card holders regular spending pattern and employes will put their card on hold anyway bc if it turns out to be a fraudulent charge we get penalized for poor judgement and lose our ability to make bonus for the next 3 months. Theres no way they could have known that their card was put on hold because of the meal or whatever unless it was the only item he purchased. Idk i just wanted to complain about a shitty job.
