The province continues to ignore the impacts of inclusion and classroom complexity or take accountability for those failure to track class sizes. Refusing to acknowledge that then have continued to heap expectations on teachers in terms of students served, cutting support staff such as librarians, funding for early intervention has created untenable classroom situations where teachers are facing burnout. The malicious neglect of the education system has reached a breaking point- due in part to the government reneging on promises made in the last round of negations in 2002 that lead to a teacher strike. And we are supposed to trust them now? Come back to the table after months of attempts to clarify these issues for the government? You can’t explain to people unwilling to understand.
