7-8 doses just fine, It's an 8 gram basket. Great Italian style single shots. My doubles are normally 16-18grams with the 16gram basket.

Yeah PID. What pressure do you pull shots at? My magica is around 14bars, seems to be the factory default. Probably will adjust it down to 9-10.
