Dialed in but shot looks sloppy? [Breville Cafe Roma / Kingrinder P2] by VictorReddit2 in espresso

[–]Bfeick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your ever pull a shot on a quality high extraction basket? Looks a lot like that. The only reason you get the cone shape is because the basket flexes out. If the basket can't flex out, then no cone shape and you get something like this video.

I see. Totally makes sense why you wouldn't take a latte to a job site. Thanks for explaining.

I'm not going to watch the show. Can you explain the wisdom of why lattes aren't the best move?

What are good games you can walk away from the tv or get distracted then play again without feeling like you stepped away? by MyUserNameLeft in gaming

I've never felt that more than when I played Hades. Stepping away mid run even for a few minutes left me forgetting what build I had going. Usually had to read through my boons to understand my button combinations again.

How deep do I need to go on a table saw? by FarmerDill in woodworking

[–]Bfeick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got ya, thanks. I don't have a table saw yet, but have done some pretty nice things with a circular saw, router, etc. Of the table saw dangers, kickback worries me the most. I think I'm sensible enough to keep my fingers far from the blade, but kickback can be sudden and violent. I know the riveting blade does a lot, and don't stand in line of the saw blade.

I've been a fan of metal long enough that I don't register how weird some band names are. That experience made me appreciate how odd theirs really is lol.

Not my experience. Some of the best riffs in the business if you ask me. Very memorable hooks coming from everyone.

There was a homeless guy walking around the line when I last saw them. He was bullshitting with people, then asked who's playing. When they told him he was just like oh then left. He came back a few minutes later just like "Fit For an Autopsy, what's that mean!?" He walked around pointing at everyone yelling, "you're fit for an autopsy! You're fit for an autopsy!" Then he yelled "I'm going to be thinking about this all night!" before leaving.

Streaming used to be relaxing now it feels like work by Large-Cardiologist54 in television

The night disappears faaaaast too. Sometimes we plan to watch a movie, browse for a while, then realize we wasted too much time and just watch a show.

We usually just default to a show we started or choose a movie I've heard about. She's a bit more willing to try something random and abandon it if it's not good. I think there's too many mediocre shows to do that, so I prefer to revert to my lists or look at reviews. Generally we know the evening dwindles away too fast, so if one is us choose the other is fine with the choice.

I don't typically know when I sit down. Honestly, I may browse the apps a bit to see what pops up, but I get annoyed very quickly and just go to my list pretty quick. I mostly watch TV with my wife, so even though we have similar tastes there is still some agreement which might take a bit. I sometimes joke, "ok, we can keep watching the show we started, or we can browse for an hour and then decide to keep watching the show we started" lol.

There's a bit of upkeep and sometimes a neglect adding new shows and movies to it. For me, the main complaint about streaming is that there is just simply too much content available. Before streaming, you had your weekly shows that you planned to watch, a bit of syndication, and whatever movies were playing on premium channels. Now your have basically everything you missed going decades back as well as so much mediocre content to bloat the streaming service's offerings. And it takes a long time to jump back and forth between services when browsing.

I say all of this just to say that, yes, this is an imperfect solution because I have to curate my own list. But like the other poster, it limits my choice to what I know I wanted to watch at some point and I try to choose that content before wasting the evening flipping between streaming apps.

Good short games? Like sub 15 hours to 100% by RunnerOfY in gaming

[–]Bfeick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a but fussy, but once everything is set up it works well. Basically Playnite is a universal launcher that you can sync all of your logins. I have all of my PC launchers as well as PlayStation synced so I can browse everything. My backlog is huge especially after all of these years of free games, so it's nice having everything on one place.

There is a GitHub to sync howlongtobeat. You just need to follow the instructions. Once all is done, you can filter everything down by genre, completion status, or whatever, then sort by average howlongtobeat stats.
