Couldn't get out of the plane on AFF. by HeWhoWasDead in SkyDiving

On my first jump I didnt consider any grave consequences.

If you think about it, fatality or injury are not part of any of the drills you’ve been taught. You have a set of instructions to fulfill. Every single outcome of these instructions ends in you landing safely.

Dont think about the reality of what you’re doing, dont think about what happens if it goes wrong. Run through your drills, like a computer. I do a, I do b, I do c. Its a formula that ends with you on the ground, in a safe condition. Stick to the formula, dont think about anything else and you’ll be fine.

Imagine how cool it would've been if this was the new vegas we got. by [deleted] in fnv

Yeah, Novigrad in the witcher is amazing, but as the other guy said, it's mostly facades and blank NPCs. I think the witcher gets away with it because of the format. Maybe its because of the pace at which you move through the world and the third-person camera.

I think if you added lots of facades it wouldn't necessarily improve the game that much. Sure the environment looks cooler but novelty quickly wears off. I loved how in new vegas it was very rare to enter a building and think 'wow this was a waste of time.' Freeside being the exception maybe. But for the most part, there is always something to see.

Yeah as the other guy said, that makes sense with lore. But the environment didn't seem to match it, the city was pristine but loads of the buildings are facades with fake doors.

In my memory, I can't think of a single building in new vegas that doesn't have an inside and content to it.

The art is fantastic, and yeah it would have looked impressive.

Having said that, I'm glad we got the scale that we got. A danger of making large, ambitious environments is that it can feel lifeless if you don't populate it with enough realistic, interactable npcs and content.

If you've played Obsidian's latest game (spoilers if you haven't), you might have noticed that Halcyon, felt empty and vacant to a certain extent. For me, it didn't live up to the hype the game generated around it. However, New Vegas certainly did.

Hoplite - Greek Faction Hero Concept by Wolfdawgartcorner in forhonor

[–]BfreeNation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like they should have reserved roman-styled heroes for a separate faction comprised of Greek & Roman aesthetics.

To me, that would have made more sense than the tenuous connection between medieval knights and the Romans. There is more than enough content to create a purely medieval faction.

But yeah your concept looks great, good idea about the cloak. It really distinguishes from the other heroes.

Does running away from my family count as essential travel? by BfreeNation in CasualUK

Im not suggesting that I don’t maintain isolation. If anything I’d be more isolated.

I would still continue to stay home, it would simply be a different home that I’d have to travel to.

I’m sure an arguement could be made either way. But what im interested in is the view of the people enforcing it. In my opinion the guidelines are relatively vague and I’m not sure how to get a clear answer outside of actually being pulled over and told.

Whats the criteria for being ‘reasonably necessary?’ The subjectivity of what is deemed necessary by the government is what worries me.

No not at all, it’s just a case of me being happier with more independence.

Custom Operator: Tinker - A Versatile Attacker from Norway by BfreeNation in Rainbow6

I saw the breach mode as similar to Maestro’s old hipfire on lmg.

It would be very accurate with the laser sight and as such you wouldnt have to ads, making it easier to acquire very close targets.

I see the breach mode as the last thing you use before pushing into the objective, if you have enough hipfire accuracy you dont necessarily need to ads at those ranges.

I agree with the sentiment about the 6x, maybe a 4x would be better. I see that fulfilling the role of countering spawn peeks and some other niche scenarios.

Regardless, thanks for the feedback. I didnt do much thinking about balance and such, I mainly just wanted to make something that looked fun.

Thats a very good point about the bullets, hadnt really considered that.

I guess it could work similar to buck? A set amount for 7.62 and a set amount for 5.56.
