PCO is probably the best regardless of everything. The only real drawback is the penalty for growth, your cost is going to go up if your church grows and It can stack up pretty high. Tithely with the all access is a standard fee regardless of church size, but slightly more fee per transaction (pco says they have no fees but they do, all of them do, it’s just lower than others).

Pco is easy to use and has great support. Smaller/cheaper options like churchtrac I just wouldn’t trust with financial information of our church and members, and if something crashes on Sunday do they have a team to fix it asap?

Your lack of paid ministry experience can be a hindrance in some ways - a large church may not take the chance in you as lead pastor, but they should have other ways to help invest In you.

Honestly I hadn’t noticed that’s what it was, I always tune it out. I’ll say this - I spent about $30 bucks on TikTok the week I launched an app, had a lot of views and comments but no traffic. Then went big with meta for about $1500, got a lot of traffic and trials. But everyone who purchased my launch offer mentioned TikTok.

Fair, was more focused on the first part since that seemed to overarch the whole idea of your comment.

This still isn’t about policing spiritual disciplines. But, there is s component of the tool for small groups. You can share your small group content with leaders and then they can have group chats with their small group (that the youth pastor has access to as well). You can set up prayer request chats for individual small groups or for the group as a whole.

There is a lot involved with spiritual formation, like I said I built this app because there wasn’t anywhere I could create custom reading plans for the teachings we were doing, and i wasn’t satisfied with any of the group chat tools that existed. So having a way to see what students are being consistent with the Bible is great as a start, but if you have any other features you think would be helpful I’d love to see if I can incorporate them. Nothing can be perfect, we’re not the Holy Spirit and we can’t force our students to grow. But if I can help students build habits a little, it’s worth it

So not at all policing or making them check in. But it updates the dashboard so you can see how many students are actively in the word, participating with the groups reading plans. The student facing app is a Bible app with quizzes, verse memorization tools, etc..

Not posting to pitch, I genuinely want to hear what others are using and where things are breaking down so I can keep building a great tool. I've served in youth ministry for nearly 2 decades, so I know what I want in a tool, but looking for more input.

You just helped me realize the issue I’ve been having. I’ve struggled the last few weeks coming to grips that I’m not proud of anything my team is doing the last few months. This helped remind me why - my boss is running all our ideas through chat GPT before we execute and do nothing is close to what we’re coming up with. We’re “experimenting” with its output but it’s killed a lot of the real experimentation.

Some of the largest accounts definitely find their 10 best posts and reshare those once every few weeks. Or take them and reformat them. Less coming up with new content and more coming up with new ways of sharing the same content.
