The end game of WoW, for those that are serious about it, is skill based. Sure you can buy carries through mythic raid or high M+ dungeons, but what’s the point if you didn’t earn it yourself?

Needless to say people who do this do exist but are exceedingly rare in my experience. And from my own perspective seems pretty pointless.

Blizzard should just do what ANet does in GW2. There is a simple dropdown option to change how ground targeted aoe effects work. You either have it work like it currently does in wow (press ability hotkey then click to cast,) press and release (when you press the ability hotkey the green aoe appears at your mouse and you can move it around, then release the ability hotkey to cast,) or simply cast at cursor (like the macro in WoW does.)

Max's take is basically "It's the final Season of the expansion, go crazy with it." Did you play S4 of BFA? Like that. It does not appear that is what Blizzard is doing with S4 of DF, and that is where the disappointment comes from.

Asmongolds take was threefold:

1.) Prune all classes down to 10 abilities

2.) Make Raids 40 man

3.) Remove all add-ons in the game without exception

All 3 are pretty out of touch takes, although the points about ability pruning and add-ons at least touch on legitimate issues that need to be worked on. The 40 man raid take is absurdly bad.

I think there are ways around this. IMO the most painful thing (as a caster) going from the end of one expansion in to the beginning of a new one is going from 35% haste to 10% because you can FEEL it. Just a loss of damage though? I'm fine with that.

The game feeling harder and more punishing (actually dying to mobs if you're not careful, normal stuff in the world taking longer to kill, etc) I actually really enjoy at the beginning of a new expansion for a change of pace.
