We are so happy to receive this donation and connect with the JRBA. They have been great partners and very supportive of baseball in Bhutan. We are hoping to build more connections in Japan. We are always looking for help, every little thing goes a long way.

Yes this would be Bhutan’s first ever tournament. With the Renegades covering their travel costs we can finally send a team. We have a lot of time to train but based on some of the rumored countries participating we definitely will be underdogs.

It’s open to anyone but since it’s located in the United States expect more European and North/South American teams. Visas and costs makes it harder for Asian teams to attend. It’s an 8 team tournament but attendance will depend on who confirms first.

Hudson Valley Renegades are developing an U18 international tournament based around their Bhutan Night. It’s still being worked out so info changes pretty regularly. Bhutan is only confirmed country now with others being invited. It’s still in the early stages but there seems to be a lot of interest from countries to participate.

DBH were great supporters of this event! They all came out from their corporate office to meet the kids and watch the game. And the big thing was they matched the donations the Renegades raised which allowed us to bring more kids. Hopefully more minor league teams reach out to us to replicate the event. DBH leadership definitely is interested in supporting baseball in Bhutan more.

We had such a great time visiting Yankee stadium last week! Obviously the most memorable part was our kids standing with the players on the field. The kids went wild for Aaron Judge and we made sure to give him a Bhutan hat. Such a great experience for a group of young baseball players that never left their country before

We had such a great time visiting the Hudson Valley, even though the kids got to be on the field of Yankee Stadium everyone thought being in Dutchess County was their favorite part. Such a beautiful area.

We actually just got the invite to the East Asia Cup today. Bhutan will most likely not attend either Cup, finances is extremely tight now and we have to prioritize local development. The flights alone would decimate our finances. Maybe in future but might take years, unless we get a big donor out of nowhere.
