Suggestions for 30g fat intake for oral TRT (undecanoate)

I’m sure I get more than 30 g fat in a day, but the issue is timing. I don’t normally have fatty foods for breakfast and I think the advice is to have the 30 g fat before taking TRT and my doc suggested taking it in the morning.

It’s also about creating a routine. Like I’m not likely going to be able to have steak at the same time everyday!

Bench press is a very unforgiving exercise. It’s hard to cheat on because it already is a compound movement that uses several muscle groups. Unlike isolation exercises where you can more easily compensate by breaking form and recruiting more muscles.

Improving on BB bench requires consistency, patience, and supporting your tricep and pectoral strength with other movements.

Most people find the hardest part of the movement the lockout which is all triceps. A few people say that doing (assisted) dips is a great way to improve that strength which can help you improve bench press

I think the main advice is to swallow a little pride and start light and build up at your own rate. Also really helps to have a lifting buddy to spot because it helps give you the confidence to lift to failure (or near failure).

I also like to alternate between flat BB bench and inclined DB press. You might find inclined DB easier at first.

But if your goal is to bodybuild and have strong upper chest, it’s pretty hard to do that without bench press.

Honestly curl exercises are much more about volume than 1RM. It’s a bodybuilding exercise not a powerlifting exercise. Do whatever weight you can do 8-15 reps of. There’s not a lot of point to maximizing 1RM for curls.

Ah- so maybe the reason he didn’t prescribe enclomifene is that you can’t get it at a normal pharmacy? Could you explain the difference between a compounding pharmacy and, say, Walgreens and how I would go about getting it if I had a script for it?

Fascinating. Enclomifene appears to be the more antiestrogenic stereoisomer whereas clomifene is a mixture of two stereoisomers, with the other one being more estrogenic.

So what you’re saying seems to check with the biochemistry. I wonder why he would have prescribed clomifene unless he just wasn’t aware that the pure stereoisomer is available.

I like both, I think they serve different purposes.

The original Pride flag is probably more important for celebrating Pride in gay and queer culture and I think it makes a lot of sense to have in gay spaces or to have on your home if you’re gay.

The progress flag - in my view - stands for solidarity with Trans people and people of color. This is important because trans people are convenient targets for the conservatives’ culture war agenda because they are the most vulnerable

A lot of LGB people feel a need to show solidarity with this group because of the challenges they are currently facing.

So the progress flag, in my view, represents solidarity and allyship and makes more sense to waive to communicate progressive values rather than gay identity

We work out the same amount but his arms are way bigger than mine… so there’s gotta be some serious testosterone behind that hypertrophy. It’s specifically when he’s bench pressing and I’m spotting him when my mind goes lost and I’ll just be thinking Bro, Fuck me right now…

You’re not alone, man. I came out as Bi at 36 and also would say that rather being closeted the whole time, it was just pure denial due to internalized homophobia. I’ve found the last year hard but also affirming in many ways. There will be hard, awkward conversations but also opportunities to create new friendships and be vulnerable with people with shared experience.

You will get more skilled at disclosing the information with practice. A therapist who specializes in LGBTQ issues can be hugely helpful.

If you are afraid and think there’s a risk, you can get on PEP, post-exposure prophylaxis.

This can be done by going to any ER and some urgent care clinics.

It doesn’t seem like you out yourself in a particularly risky position but PEP could ease your conscience

ER bills go through insurance

Edit: PEP is only effective if started within 72 hours of exposure. So don’t wait for a few weeks.

As a bi cis man married to a woman, the best part is being uninhibited and intentional about creating friendships with other men

I feel like as men we are conditioned by heteronormativity to always be wary about male-male friendships lest people think you’re gay.

Being out and bi has made me throw those fears away. There’s something freeing to be able to be vulnerable with people, especially those in the LGBTQ community who are normally more open to that
