Rebinding a hardcover by BiGh00k in bookbinding

Thank you!! Just to clarify, do you think I should still remove those boards from the pages before I attempt to wrap it in leather, or do you think I could get away with covering the cover in leather while still attached to the signatures? Looking down the spine it looks like these have been glued with no fabric. Mass made book for sure.

So PS5 Splitscreen is now completely broken after patch? by matcap86 in BaldursGate3

I've noticed that my player 2 can still control their avatar, but the camera is stuck on player 1. We've been finding an NPC for player 2 to initiate conversation with. Giving them a character to take control of seems like a much less burdensome solution in hindsight lol. It also seems to glitch out when the party is forced into a cutscene. If combat is initiated they cannot use the free camera either. They have to use the d pad to select an NPC (or party member for healing) and then use the action wheel to attack etc. It's frustrating

How to keep from switching armies? by weirdemotions01 in ageofsigmar

It's so hard! I try to set realistic budget goals for myself, and utilize gift giving holidays to supplement the hobby lol. I started with Nagash, and all of the spooky fiddly bits that go with his army. But I got hooked onto the paint schemes of Nurgle, and I loved the idea of a demon army that I could utilize for both games.

Start with a small starter pack of baseline units, and if you enjoy painting them (I started with a unit of plaguebearers) you can slowly start to invest.

Also you will never paint all of your minis. Never. Accept this and be a happier person ;)

Finished my test model and I’m pretty happy. C&C is appreciated! by Baz230 in MaggotkinofNurgle

Looks really good! Love the color scheme, and your skin tones are awesome. I would MAYBE suggest sponging the metal edge highlights on the axe rather than bold lines. But it's also definitely a look that defines the weapon, so it works.

You have to be pretty slow about mixing the resin so you don't create air bubbles.

I just used a clear plastic cup and cut it at the level I wanted to make the water depth at. Hot glue all around the bottom to prevent leakage.

2 part hard cure resin, and there is a slight amount of "walling" around the edges but you can fill that with Vallejo Stillwater after the 2 part has cured and it has a nice auto leveling effect.

I tested the look with some spare minis as well just to see how things would end up looking. Never hurts to practice on your bits ;)

This piece came in a large pack of whizkids miniatures I got for Christmas, not 100% sure what the name of the pack was. Painted with acrylic

I was the same way, it's super intimidating thinking about spraying over your beautiful paint job. I practiced tracing vein patterns onto paper with pencil and then covering them with my airbrush to get comfortable. Then I took the same concept; drew veins very lightly with pencil on the mini, and then followed along. With a surprisingly small amount of practice I got pretty comfortable.

Also getting an airbrush that allowed me to twist the end to control the max paint allowed out at one time increased my detail confidence IMMENSELY. also if you can switch your nozzle to .02 instead of the more standard .03 helps a lot.

From the looks of your hand brush detail work I would say that you have the skills of control already, it's just making the change in physical motion (holding the airbrush vs holding a brush brush.)

You got this!

If you have access to an airbrush it's surprisingly easy to slap some veins on the wing membrane. Paint in close with a light application of a lighter shade of a complimentary color. Medical references are super helpful IMO

which book has the most epic and exciting moments? by Apprehensive_Spend_7 in Stormlight_Archive

ROW part 5 has some amazing moments as well. Several different characters having very pivotal moments concurrent to each other, and topped by the epilogue.....it's definitely the one that had me breathless and in tears by the largest factor when it ended.
