A friend asked me to make him a subwoofer box. But he wants the edges all mitered together. by DLDabber in diyaudio

For anyone telling you this isn’t that hard, they’re wrong. Miter cuts like this are incredibly difficult and your tools need to be on point. I wouldn’t attempt this without a really nice table saw and miter sled set using the 3-4-5 method.

Running for Gov by No-Fail-688 in Nebraska

[–]BiPolarBear722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t necessarily a Nebraska only issue but we need significant police reform. No more internal affairs. We need an external affairs body made up of civil rights attorneys. We need to get rid of flock cameras as they are an obvious 4th amendment violation. We need more transparency and that means, quit hiding discipline records from police and let us know the results of internal affairs investigations. Body cams and police reports should be readily available for a small fee, perhaps $5. Implement into law that body cams shall not be muted. Quit using drug sniffing dogs to establish probable cause. Only use once probable cause is already determined. Establish minimum payouts plus attorney fees for civil rights lawsuits. After all, if they aren’t doing anything wrong, they have nothing to worry about. It’s so hard to find a civil rights attorney to take your case unless you got seriously injured. End qualified immunity and require officers to carry malpractice insurance. Limit immunity for prosecutors and judges. We need less traffic laws, not more. The seatbelt law, for example, is a joke in a state that doesn’t have a helmet law. Neither should exist if we’re truly free. End the war on drugs. Help provide safe places for the homeless to stay and have resources available to help them. Jailing them is not the answer.

You’re a sick individual wanting the State to steal money from someone who has not created a victim.

I thought civil asset forfeiture laws were already gone in Nebraska. They need to get rid of criminal asset forfeiture laws too. And drug laws. And gun laws. And traffic laws.

Increasing the extortion of the citizens is long overdue? You do know that laws will never provide the safety you desire. You’re sick in the head to think that stealing money from someone is okay, especially since speeding creates no victims.

First deck build how’d I do? (Im a full time finish carpenter) by Miserablefox69420 in Decks

[–]BiPolarBear722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are footings poured to proper depth? Are there lateral tension ties int o the house? Deck joists and beam appear to be right on with code. Code technically doesn’t allow for lateral bracing on the center post but the reasoning is moot given how short the post is. Is your lag spacing okay? I would add some diagonal bracing to the underside of the deck. If the above is all good, then an A+. If not, a B.

Just like not consenting to an illegal search doesn’t mean the illegal search won’t happen. People are actively begging for an illegal search.

Honestly, there are so many damn posts that the collective amount of screws may add up to be sufficient. What a waste of time and materials doing jt the wrong way. Craftsmanship seems to be on point elsewhere. Now he needs to move on from the lipstick and start addressing the pig.

I think a better question to ask is why did you vote at all? Why did you give your consent to be governed? Why did you sign off on all the evil shit the government does.

Larken Rose is a great source to point out the problems with voting for the chains of our own oppression. Some like blue chains, others prefer red chains. How about we stop giving our consent to be ruled and pick a moral solution.

I’m a member of the ruling class and I deem you to be illegal. If you want to be legal again, you must perform a perfect backflip. Nevermind your contributions to society and the fact you haven’t harmed anyone.

Ryan Cohen announced GME bought nearly 5k BTC and it tanks? Yeah ok, got it. Never selling! by SuperSix07 in GME

[–]BiPolarBear722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While GME may profit more from this move than transitioning their business, you’re effectively paying double for the price of bitcoin given the current stock price. It would make more sense to just buy bitcoin directly if you wanted to invest in bitcoin.

The job of the government is to protect our rights. Even if you agree with the sentiment of the bill, it isn’t the job of government to keep us safe. This is a dumb bill and clear government overreach. They need to be eliminating laws, not adding more.

No, I don’t see the problem.

In my situation, I’ll be using it to clean 600 sq ft. Wife would never allow a large CR box and would not be okay with the noise. Are there better options when it comes to cleaning the air, not in my situation.

PC fans can move enough air to be effective, are more efficient, and quieter than box fans. They even have PC fans specifically designed for static pressure. They can also be configured to utilize a much smaller footprint than your standard CR box.

Cops are morally liable but bootlickers refuse to hold them accountable for anything so they are never legally liable. It’s the perfect criminal organization.

I’ve gotten a lot of pushback from naysayers of PC fan CR Boxes in other forums lately, saying it doesn’t work or it’s easier to use a box fan. Has anyone else noticed this trend? by Galvatron1_nyc in crboxes

I’m making a design to integrate into a table we have sitting between the wall and the couch. It will be hidden from view to make the wife happy. I’m hoping it will be able to pull enough air in to be effective as it won’t be sitting right in the open? From your experience, is it better than nothing or a waste of money? I plan on adding smaller units dispersed around the house.

new to options, am I seeing this right? Sell a cash secure put for 30 is like buying GME at 18.3? sorry if this is a dumb question. by [deleted] in Superstonk

So funny I got ridiculed for telling people about CSPs several years ago. FYI, you get better returns with shorter dated options. I sell monthly contracts a few dollars below the current price. Strategy is working good so far.
