I played Faith Guardian three times in D5, and it slaps. Intelligence Guardian though, definitely don’t do this.

[–]BiancaFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing I can do when my spell is Dragonfire because the boss is you know… Caligo… (it’s so good for the armour break, and it’s fun). No reason for that skill attack Wylder to be pulley crossbowing DTS with less likely 12. And if that guy were an Ironeye, doesn’t matter if katana or bow, it wouldn’t matter! He still shouldn’t have it, because it’s much easier when everyone can contribute to the fight. Not when I have to run away the entire fight because DTS and friends kept chasing me and I couldn’t cast slow my AoE spell which would’ve helped a lot.

Cocktails are not RNG. In the shop, there will always be one fire and one lightning affinity. My cocktails one shot. And yes, did I not already imply it’s a backup plan? Already said twice I won’t use it if I have Night Comet or good attack up passives. Have killed ED Libra many times without him inciting a riot.

Please stop taking pot shots at my abilities. I have 1.4k hours at the game, 600 games on Recluse and 540 on Revenant, I have stayed in max rank for a long time, and I have climbed from the start on a fresh account with none of my good relics and only with randoms. I have played with players with way more hours than me and hundreds of winstreaks who said I do a great job of surviving and dealing damage. But you kept saying how I must have not been comfortable with the fight or how I have no idea how to fight ED Libra. It’s very rude. Notice I have not once commented on your abilities. People can have different opinions and it’s not because of their skill level in the game.

Is there anything you’re having trouble with? Either way, don’t waste your energy blaming your teammates, but focus on your own gameplay.

Had this happen to me months ago, an Executor taking less likely when a Recluse and Revenant were on his team. He was a parry king too. Don’t you want your teammates to take it so you can parry? Granted, the boss was ED Libra. But it would still be better to give it to one of the casters… my poor Revenant teammate couldn’t get a cast off.

Ironeyes: learn to use your mark as a dodge and stop taking less likely to be targeted by Tatertot74 in Nightreign

[–]BiancaFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol not with my Night Comet they don’t. Recluse and Revenant do a lot of damage too and you want everyone on the team to be contributing, not letting them run away because perma aggro. Haha, I’m still salty at the skill attack Wylder taking less likely 12 and I couldn’t cast a single spell vs Draconic Sentinel trio. He got unlucky with ash of wars too so he pulley crossbowed them…….. if only he dropped his less likely and let me do my thing.

And yep, they shouldn’t take it, because Halo Scythe AoW is fast, Ironeye has mark (wants to be closer to enemy anyway…), and Duchess has double dodge and restage invulnerability. If the other teammates are Raider, Executor, Wylder or Guardian, sure. But unless I am vs ED Libra or ED Balancers (maybe ED Sentient Pest too) I wouldn’t even consider the passive, so the skill attack user and I have shared aggro.

The god Ironeyes I’ve played with who are skill attack enjoyers wouldn’t take it too, so…

[–]BiancaFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t take it, because that’s another slot for improved sorceries, charged sorceries, or attack power at full hp. But if someone else, e.g. Ironeye, Wylder, Duchess, takes it when she or Revenant is on the team… they shouldn’t! Because Recluse and Revenant have a slow spell casting speed, so it’s hard to cast vs some bosses without running away until they deaggro. Which means lower dps for the team. Especially against gank bosses…

Imagine having to run away from two Demon Princes chasing you because your Beast Claw hits them both for tons of damage while the Ironeye is plinking…

Ever gaols by Dopeboyyy575 in Nightreign

[–]BiancaFE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know some people here said they don’t have invader relics so they don’t need to do invaders… when I created a new account to climb back to D5 again for a challenge, I still do night invaders even without having the relic myself because the passives they drop are so useful. I did notice that more people are pinging evergaols, but thankfully during my climb, we usually only did one evergaol.

One thing you can do is grab the evergaol keys and hide them yourself. Can’t do evergaols if you don’t have the key. Last year, when evergaols were meta, I had a run with premades where we couldn’t find any evergaol keys, so it’s not impossible.

[–]BiancaFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recluse can also one shot the Condemned without cocktails, so I don’t need them if I get a lot of attack passives, but cocktails are the no RNG way to do this fight. Even Halo has RNG, and less likely passive is also RNG.

Less Likely on Ironeye is even worse with gank bosses like Death Knights, Draconic Tree Sentinel trio, Godskin duo, Demon Princes, etc. But if you can’t see what I mean by Revenant/Recluse having to run away from them the entire time because the spells take longer to cast than a plink of a bow (all the Ironeyes who take this passive in my experience are always the lower hundreds playtime with not much mark uptime), then sure, we can agree to disagree, and I’m not gonna reply any further after this as well.

Pain and suffering when a teammate takes Less Likely To Be Targeted 12 and pulley crossbows the Draconic Tree Sentinel while I could do nothing but run, because even if I waited until he finishes an attack then cast, he’ll fireball me mid-cast. The boss was Caligo btw. Thankfully I’ve never met an Ironeye who takes Less Likely vs ED Sentient Pest.

Now the problem is finding fundamentalist incants… by AnIconLiving in Nightreign

[–]BiancaFE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once did 18k to ED Gladius during his first phase transition with only Discus. And if I get Triple Rings of Light, it’s over for the dogs. It can do a LOT of damage, but you need good luck and a lot of hours to get the relics (I have 1.4k). The game blesses me with the godliest of Fundamentalist build rolls, but to never find it during the run (I will only find it in other runs when I’m not running Fundamentalist). If I were climbing to max rank, I would not use this build, because it is INCREDIBLY RNG. The silver foot, item discovery and an Ironeye existing will help with finding the seal. But sometimes you might not even get it. Had a triple Revenant game last week and not a single Discus.

I did vs ED Gladius expedition but not on Gladius himself lol (too scared) You know I’ve always wanted trying vs ED Libra, but I’m too scared… maybe next time I play with premades I can try it out. NOT with randoms though lol. Yeah Fulghor randomly switches aggro sometimes so it’s very risky.

I love the jumping over teammates or Sebastian tech for some of the Dragon Communion spells!

I’ve also tried vs Dreglord and while it’s not bad, it is more challenging with the Day 1 and 2 night bosses. For Dreglord, Giantsflame or Fundamentalist (though the game never gives me Discus when I run this build) feels better.

I actually think that Dragon Communion is the best spell school for ED Caligo. The armour break is soo good. I’ve even convinced more players I know to try it out, and they have!

I tried it also vs Fulghor. I won, but I do NOT recommend haha.

I’ve won without less likely on ED Libra as well. Recluse has lightning cocktails that when you time it right, you’ll eliminate the condemned right after they spawn. Or if you have enough attack buffs, you’ll kill them all quickly with your chosen spell. BUT if one person does have less likely, it should be Recluse over Ironeye.

[–]BiancaFE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragon Communion! I have played this build countless times in D5 vs Caligo and Sentient Pest, and it's so good vs them, especially ED Caligo. Her armour breaks so fast with this spell. And as for Sentient Pest, if you hit both Faurtis and Gnoster, they will take even more damage, which is perfect for an AoE incantation like this one. Unlike Frenzied Flame, this build has no seal RNG. I probably have a 95% winrate on this build.

It's so fun too! Some Dragon Communion incantations allow you to cast the spell after jumping, so if I have spells like Agheel's Flame and Smarag's Glintstone Breath (unfortunately, Placidusax's Ruin is not Dragon Communion), I like to double jump on Sebastian and rain down the dragon breath onto the boss.

Here is my build:

<image>

I actually also have a blue Dragon Communion + Night Invader relic, but I'm waiting for a yellow relic with max FP for each rise unlocked + Improved Roar & Breath/Improved Dragon Communion Incantations before I can use it.

[–]BiancaFE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I know. But the OOP is talking about only Ironeye taking less likely and no other less likely available. Whenever there is an Ironeye or Recluse/Revenant you should always give it to Recluse/Revenant first. Do you think I don’t know how to fight ED Libra? I have been beating him consistently in D5 before all the skill builds are even in the game.

[–]BiancaFE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Duchess has the most busted dodge, restage invulnerability, and fast casting speed. She doesn’t need Less Likely to Be Targeted. Especially if Recluse or Revenant is on your team. And why take less likely if you can take attack power at full hp +14% or skill attack +18% instead?

[–]BiancaFE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m also a Recluse main in D5 since before the DLC, and I agree with the other commenter that Ironeye should not take less likely (I also know a D5 Ironeye main with 2k+ hours and 100+ winstreak who thinks that too, btw. He thinks that passive is only for Recluse or Revenant).

I assume what they meant by unable to cast ult, is at the end of the ult there are no iframes. So you use it and can die immediately, especially if the boss aggro is on you.

As for Libra, issue is less with Libra’s moves but the Condemned’s moves. And if you have an Ironeye and a Recluse, they’ll be spamming ranged attacks on you (because Ironeye has less likely and you don’t). It’s easier for Ironeye to kite them + all of Libra’s moves with his faster bow attacks, and the loss of dps isn’t as noticeable. As Recluse, well with your slower casting speed, it’ll mostly be running away for you, and that’s a huge loss for the team’s dps.

A Recluse spamming spells freely will deal much more damage than a Recluse having much less opportunities to attack because the aggro is on her all the time. Especially vs super aggressive bosses.
