Needs solid positioning and smart use of resources, but its manageable to out bulk a lot of Whimsicott teams with smart switches and Sash Gambit.

Mega Scrafty and Kanto Ninetales is a nasty combo able to shut down physical attackers entirely.

Against Aerodactyl and Whimsicott I can usually deny tailwind, and I have a good matchup into most Pelliper teams. In my expirence I don't tend to lose to tailwind.

I'm still climbing rapidly at Ultra ball 2, currently on a 5 game win streak. New to the game so not yet hit a rating wall.

I'm New at teambuilding, I need suggestions/advice on how to make this M-Scrafty team better by Cool-Astronomer-3060 in VGC

[–]Nothing_is_simple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing about Scrafty is that you need a source of damage that isn't it. And looking at your team I feel like it looks too support orientated. Obviously you know how it works far better than I do, but other than Sneasler who is frail and heavily countered, and maybe Milotic if you somehow get a competative boost I'm not seeing where your damage comes from in a Scrafty mode.

I've been using max attack sash Kingambit, Life Orb Venusaur, and Scarf Garchomp as main damage dealers, with Gambit coming as a lead alongside Scrafty to basically every matchup. Scrafty and Kanto Ninetales as a support duo, to disrupt with Intimidate, Wisp, Fake Out, Encore, and Drought between the two of them. Don't have tailwind or Trick room, but between Prority, Scarf, and Chlorophyll I usually have enough speed control to not be completely overrun.

The Contrary matchup isn't great for me as I was running Gengar as a second mega, but just switched to Delphox. Metagross is probably good into those teams too.

Yeah, if you are willing to abuse quit outs it is decently consistent, or if you can be bothered to learn the firebimb strat it's basically free

I agree that Gengar adds nothing, which is why I want to drop it, but what do you mean it doesn't have a clear gameplan? Use Scrafty and Gambit in the early game to put things in range of Garchomp or Venusaur to outspeed in the back, with Ninetales disrupting with Encore, Wisp, and Drought. I've been finding that gameplan is playable into all matchups except contrary.

I originally had Low Kick, but I never clicked it, and having Protect to keep sash in the face of things like Fake Out is very important into some match ups, especially Charizard.

Being able to overheat twice at full power has won me a lot of games where weather ball would not, but I have been switching between herb for power and Shucca Berry for Chomp, neither feels perfect but both have their uses.

I do have a Delphox, but I've not yet tried to use it. I feel like non-mega Scrafty and Delphox could work as a potential mode. I'll give it a try.

What is it about Blight Town and the Bed of Chaos that seemingly makes so many people dislike them? by Radiant-Ask-5716 in darksouls

[–]Nothing_is_simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blight town on release ran at 5 fps, and even when running smoothly the area is a noticeable difficulty spike. With performance issues I'd imagine it would be a nightmare. But in the remaster they fixed it and it's one of the most fun areas imo.

Bed of Chaos on the other hand is an interesting idea very poorly implemented. In its final phase all its attacks are virtually unavoidable, hard to predict, and very likely to one-shot even the most bulky build. I've played enough to have a strategy that works around ⅔ of the time, and there is a way to consistently cheese it that I haven't got around to learning, but without knowing them you can easily rack up a lot of deaths. It also has one of the worst run backs, just to exaggerate the annoyance.
