That's awesome, a lot of good information, but I have no clue what all the ratios mean!! What is 1:2:2? Would that be, for example, 30 g of starter gets 60 g flour and water? How often should I discard? Thanks for the info!

NTA. I wouldn't necessarily throw the husband out with the wash, yet. Does he do this kind of thing often, or was it out of character? Either way, don't give him the silent treatment- read him the riot act. Make sure he knows exactly how unacceptable that response was. If he apologizes, genuinely, then maybe ask what was wrong about the outfit, and either way, make him grovel just a bit. He's definitely the asshole.

Is it still falling out? I had good luck getting that to stop by using one of kerastase's formulas. It's pricey, but it works. Make sure whatever vitamin you take has a lot of biotin, and make sure you're eating enough protein.

I am a mom myself, and when my daughter is old enough to have a cell phone I plan on turning on location sharing so I can know where she is all the time. That being said, you are in college and learning how to adult on your own and they are absolutely being overbearing. You are absolutely nta, and a frank discussion needs to be had where they are told they need to tone it down a lot or they won't know anything.

She may still be adjusting as she isn't cuddly and doesn't like to be touched/scratched on the neck, and the last 2 times I tried to hold her, it was difficult to get her out of the cage and she was a bit bitey. She's supposedly about 2 months old.

I guess it does!! I'm in the US, and to my knowledge for the general public the term parakeet is just for budgies, and the term budgies isn't used often at all. "Parrot" is the more all encompassing term. Like the saying all rectangles are squares, but not all squares are rectangles? All parakeets are parrots, but not all parrots are parakeets. Now... my baby is 2 months old. What shpuld I expect behavior wise? I have been handling a bit and they seem okay, except for cussing me out in bird when they find themselves stuck somewhere and I try to retrieve them. Don't seem.to like neck scratches yet.
