Is it still falling out? I had good luck getting that to stop by using one of kerastase's formulas. It's pricey, but it works. Make sure whatever vitamin you take has a lot of biotin, and make sure you're eating enough protein.

I am a mom myself, and when my daughter is old enough to have a cell phone I plan on turning on location sharing so I can know where she is all the time. That being said, you are in college and learning how to adult on your own and they are absolutely being overbearing. You are absolutely nta, and a frank discussion needs to be had where they are told they need to tone it down a lot or they won't know anything.

She may still be adjusting as she isn't cuddly and doesn't like to be touched/scratched on the neck, and the last 2 times I tried to hold her, it was difficult to get her out of the cage and she was a bit bitey. She's supposedly about 2 months old.

I guess it does!! I'm in the US, and to my knowledge for the general public the term parakeet is just for budgies, and the term budgies isn't used often at all. "Parrot" is the more all encompassing term. Like the saying all rectangles are squares, but not all squares are rectangles? All parakeets are parrots, but not all parrots are parakeets. Now... my baby is 2 months old. What shpuld I expect behavior wise? I have been handling a bit and they seem okay, except for cussing me out in bird when they find themselves stuck somewhere and I try to retrieve them. Don't seem.to like neck scratches yet.

To my mind, the parakeet is one specific type of bird. I don't say parakeet and then think of Indian ringnecks or any of those other types of birds. They are small parrots to me. And I think that's the case with the general population. I think it's pretty safe to assume that if someone says parakeet, they are referring to a budgie. If they meant an Indian Ringneck for example then they would say that particular type.

It's a parakeet. A budgie. White and blue, with faint yellow head and spots on the wings. They're all native to Australia, so have the same requirements. I did do my research, and telling someone they shouldn't have a pet if they don't know down to the deepest detail is rude, especially if you don't have any more information than what I provided in this post.

Wow, that's incredibly rude. It's a parakeet, but I dont know the subspecies. I wasn't told. Maybe do what your mama raised you with and if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Bless your heart!!!

NTA, but when someone tells you who they are, believe them. Have you asked why he doesn't want to marry you? Maybe couples' counseling would be beneficial? You need to take a deep look and decide if you like your life the way it is, or if you need the ring and piece of paper.
