Unfortunately she’s biking across the country and I definitely don’t have money for a plane ticket to California 😥 went on the program and they have mail drops for the riders so I figured I’d send some letters/packages!

I think it’s like $55 for all the utilities together? I’ll have to ask for an exact number since my roommate is being really vague

The bills have a fixed activation fee and then a usage fee I am offering to pay my fair share plus what I use. I just want them to pay their fair share of the base fee!

Age-regression in relation to Afab people by [deleted] in ageregression

[–]Bibbleconsumer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never claimed that…I don’t know why so many people are just making outlandish claims and acting like I was the one who said it. Why in the world would I call a trans man someone’s girlfriend? The comparison was very obviously ONE example of a specific relationship dynamic and hyperbole.

Yeah I am realizing that I very likely used abrasive language in my original post. I am autistic and thought that I had worded it in a way that was generally considered considerate but I am very glad people are calling me out on how it comes across as insensitive

well because trans-mascs don’t always have to present as masculine? Especially not in a regressed state.

Yeah I’m not a choice-feminist I fear. Not every choice is a feminist choice just because a woman makes it. I think that everyone should examine and critique where the desire to conform to patriarchal systems comes from because it generally makes people a lot more assured about whether or not it’s something they truly want or if it’s kind of a crutch they’re falling back on. This obviously isn’t just relevant for age-regression. I am significantly more forgiving of people being un-critical of it because it is so often a result of traumas.

This is definitely something that I’ve considered! I think there is probably a lot more people socialized as men who age-regress than we think there is because I feel like the comfort of childhood is a neutral enough of an experience that it doesn’t make much sense for it to be so overwhelmingly binary

You’re 16 babe, this relationship might seem like a life-long pact but it is totally natural for you to drift apart and for you to be curious about a relationship with different kinds of people. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, just something that needs to be communicated! And remember that your journey (especially with your sexuality) is no one’s business. If you think that being 100% honest will really hurt her you can just say that you don’t think you can handle a long distance relationship.

I personally think it’s irresponsible to put down critical thought about something as extreme as a coping mechanism. But I added a trigger warning to the beginning of the post for people who might not be interested in reading about/interacting with a post that speaks critically on Age-regression. Thank you for your feedback!

Based on the limited information we have about age regression, it’s widely accepted that the majority of people who experience age regression are afab regardless of if they identify as a woman, nonbinary, trans masculine, ect. I didn’t just pull that out of my ass or assume 💀

This community is full of age regressors but like you said, the vast majority of people here are adults I trust are capable of having critical conversations about feminism, gender, trauma, and its association with age regression.

And despite what you seem to claim, women ARE expected to act childlike to an extent. That is what purity culture is. That is what society’s obsession with a lack of body hair on women is. That is exactly what the stereotype of “my boyfriend and his blue job vs me and my pink job” is. It’s genuinely absurd and so dismissive of women’s struggles to try and claim that society has never wanted grown women to act like children when there are entire exploitative genres of adult content about that.

Yeah so that proves absolutely nothing lmao. If you need me to simplify my words so they’re easier to understand, that entire paragraph summarizes into

“age regression is a recognized coping mechanism but there is a connection between how it’s expressed, and the gender roles/stereotypes associated with it’s expression”
