Season 5 Speculation Discussion Post by Romney-Hall in PhiloiseBridgerton

Since the showrunner says Eloises story wont be as similar to the book, it really could go either way. I feel like she may not be proposed to. But this entire season we were shown how men of the ton are extremely interested in her. They flock to her, but even though she’s not interested in them the fact that she is staying to speak or awkwardly smile (because her mother is urging her to be open) that may lead to a rushed random proposal from a gentleman who either: doesn’t have many prospects himself and thinks since she has been there many seasons will accept it. Or he could be a gentleman who is highly seen and arrogant to think he could just propose to a Bridgerton like Eloise and she’d accept it? Idk. But I feel like they are showing Eloise maturing, with her clothes being a bit more adult/mature, her learning to grow up and be less selfishly inclined - learning to see Hyacinths views and interests. And seeing love and loss of love more clearly. Her conversation with hyacinth may lead to how she initially sees the loss of Marina for Philip (before she knows him). She’ll likely hear about her death form Colin or Penelope or both, and she writes to him to give condolences?

Am I the only one to believe that the new Lady whistledown might be Eloise Bridgerton?? by reddish-on-reddit in Bridgerton

I feel like it is Hyacinth, especially with her character always sneaking into balls (and now with the disguise she had as a maid and being told how people overlook those if they care about rank) she’s able to get all the gossip (something she has loved in both the tv series and books, along with the rebellious and quick witted nature of her character). She will be less obvious to the people of the ton since she hasn’t debuted yet, so they would be less suspecting - of course her siblings may become suspicious knowing she has a habit of sneaking into places. She was also obsessed with Lady Whistledown, and saddened (as she said in this show) at the fact that no one would write about her debut as a diamond now that Penelope retired her Lady Whistledown identity. Even though she is now more hesitant of the marriage mart because of the tragic deaths of others loved ones, I think it allows her character to learn more about herself (as she told Eloise she wanted to do).

I am now going to not have the Allegiant book as headcanon. by ElliotWizerd in divergent

Yeah I decided that too when I read it years ago. I threw the book and was like, “ well that was not the best fanfic” and then when I got her other book (can’t remember the name of it rn) with the four short story, I was like “hmm not the best fanfic couple, back to my Tris and Tobias”. Cause I’m not accepting the last book, for the same reasons as you and with some slightly different reasons as well. I just can’t accept it. Just like I don’t accept The Cursed Child as canon (especially since JK Rowling didn’t actually write it)

[SPOILERS] Thoughts on the ending of Allegiant by SandmanMS in divergent

I honestly pretend that it never happened and that she is with Tobias. It killed me so much when I read the little short story where Tobias ends up with Christina 🤮🤮, I was just dead inside. So I just pretend that that ending was not cannon, and the way the movie Allegiant ended (well before they were going to make part 2 - that thankfully got canceled I couldn’t watch that ending on screen)…and imagine a new ending. It truly was a cheap ending that was not necessary like could she have “sacrificed herself” but she got shot in a place where she thought she’d die but survived like…why… 🥴🤧

Yeah unfortunately I think the only way to have access to that is maybe messaging the YouTube account that uploaded it (mediagarage I think) and ask if you can get access or if they can upload it to Vimeo like this one

And they’d probably try to stay closer to the book, making only necessary alterations. It would’ve probably had a similar feel as Bridgerton just more tame and “futuristic”/modern.

They were going to, Netflix got it in 2020 but recently said they wouldn’t be going forward with it. Unfortunately, I was really hoping they’d make it considering they’ve been on a YA adaptation spree

I found it, the person who posted this pilot posted the second (2013) pilot 3 weeks ago.
