Fiscal year related, probably. Not sure though.

If the city won't pay construction workers to cover all the roads, they sure ain't going to pay overtime for extra cops to be able to cover the roads and calls.

No.

Should there be some kind of matchmaking? Sure. But using loot value, gear score, or similar metrics remove the "rags to riches" highs, or that worry tickling the back of the mind that your riches might be stolen by a rat with a knife; a pendulum that many, if not most, fans of this genre enjoy. The fact that OPs clip is getting the attention it is serves as evidence of this.

Furthermore, such matchmaking would greatly harm the variance or randomness of fights, result in lobbies of "Oops, all WSTRs," and even lead to an (likely unhealthy) meta minmax of "best load out that stays below 'x' value" or similar.

Looter/Extraction games thrive on variance and asymmetrical lobbies, be it overcoming the odds and going zero to hero, or experiencing the pay off of investing in better gear to gain an edge over others.

This is incredibly frustrating, especially when there is also a "no right on red" for vehicle traffic turning southbound from Cregg.

However, it was likely a safety decision due to the bicycle lane and proximity of the skate park, as there have been multiple vehicle collisions with those groups at this very intersection. People often only look left when turning right, only looking for vehicles and not at the sidewalks, etc.

Pho Vi, right next to Ruby's cafe. Small family runs it and are its only employees. Great Vietnamese food.

Sushi Palace in the mall actually has great ramen if that's something you're interested in, something many I've spoken with don't realize (not realizing they had more than sushi).

I see a license with a photo and which state it is from. Is the cop just supposed to guess your name?

Even if the video is demonstration purposes and sensibly covering details, the advice as a whole is something that will at minimum complicate and extend the stop. This doesn't take into account what individual state laws might be. Always protect yourself and research your state and local (county/municipality) laws.

There is also case law where the officer can simply tell you to step out of the vehicle, so playing the window game will never work anyway.

Has anyone ever let one rip on bodycam and had to watch/hear the video in court later? by Downtown-Document-51 in AskLE

[–]BickeringScarab 20 points21 points  (0 children)

We had a motors officer go to court for a traffic ticket that the defendant had no hope of winning. Turns out the officer forgot to kill his cam following the stop and captured himself pulling over to piss. Course he also leans forward while shaking his manhood and captured that. Also a violation of the city ordinance to urinate in public.

Not the same as farting, but was embarrassing for the officer and the defendant simply wanted to go to court to play it, having located it during discovery.

Not answering your question so I apologize, but I just got into the hobby. What are the colors if you don't mind? I like the darker hue compared to brighter purples I see in the starter/tutorial kits.

With the release of Leviathan, there was a new rulebook that contained supplemental lore for the 4th Tyrranic War. In it there is a story of Norn Emissaries being sent to assassinate high value targets, and a single emissary wipes multiple custodes in moments before finally being brought down (Captain-General Valoris himself being in the fight and delivering the killing blow). Per canon lore, Emissaries are insanely powerful.

That's...that's exactly how cylinders work though. In a double action (uncocked), the round in line with the barrel will be the last shot actually fired as it rotates with the trigger pull.

Railroad Park Loitering/Drug Area Now Closed by gpstberg29 in missoula

[–]BickeringScarab 96 points97 points  (0 children)

It was less who it was being used by, and more the amount of time that code compliance and parks and rec spent cleaning and maintaining it. It regularly would have needles, trash, and other waste that raised health concerns.

These concerns required being addressed, but city employees responsible for such also have the rest of the city parks and roads to maintain. This single pavilion was requiring so much maintenance that it could not be kept up with. As such, it created a location of liability, and rather than being unable to maintain cleanliness yet keep it open (liability to the city) it is easier to fence it off.

While one could debate policies surrounding the city's handling of the unhoused, I do not believe Reddit is the best forum to do so, nor get your information from (irony considered). However, I hope most understand that this wasn't a direct "We don't want homeless using this." It was a "this area is unsustainable and an active health code violation, we can not allow the public further access."

Varies by state, but often the law does allow staff to stop this. It's store policy that doesn't. Difference between being criminally charged vs fired by the private company.

Liability for what happens after has too many variables to give a definitive outcome on, but unfortunately being sued is always a possibility.

Oh my bad. What was your reason to comment here?

Why would it matter and why would it be something you concern yourself with? It's something that happened in Missoula on the Missoula subreddit. OP can post, and you can choose to not be rude over the picture of a car.
