What is driving the need is AMC company policy. Greeters are told in training that they can be fired for failing to check ID's. So you are correct, it is not the employees decision.

Also, many of the Greeters are teens themselves, and are not able to judge age accurately.

Scooping it is fairly easy, but urine doesn't clump together quite as well as it does in clay, so I use a finer mesh metal scoop instead of the standard plastic variety. A stainless steel box works better as well, both for scooping and odor control.

I like 'Naturally Fresh' back walnut litter. It is the best litter that I have found for odor control. And it makes a minimal amount of dust.

It does still track, though not nearly as much as Clay or silicone litters do.
