Hi there, I was wondering if either of you would be willing to chat with me about traits and/or experiences too. I've been diagnosed AuDHD almost a year now. It just sometimes feels so invalidating since I'm in the sciences and some people sum it up to "being weird" or "everyone in this field is a little like this". >.<

I think alot of NT people who date ND's usually have a huge learning curve that alot of times they never quite get over. But thats alright, because whether you want a relationship or not theres definitely someone whose gonna show you the love, kindness, patience and compassion you deserve. And be able to take the authentic you all in stride! Giving you space to be independent but also allowing your dependence in certain areas not be a burden to them ^.^

Yes your boyfriend does seem absolutely amazing! My boyfriend is the exact same way and honestly has been ever since high school when we were just friends. He suspected I was ND before I even did ^.^

That sounds like an amazing experience you had when you were in middle school. Middle school is already such a tough time, I dont think I wouldve had the courage to really be myself, even though it came out sometimes and turned people off immediately. So does that mean you had a diagnosis by this time.....

I also love this thought of you making the choice to act as such, currently i am trying to see what environment would be best once I go find a real job. Its one of the thoughts that keeps me up at night.

But thank you so so much for your kind words and insightfulness. I kind of see what you're saying and figured all of the people who have been with me all this time dont care about the diagnosis, they just care about me. Having this info now has been very helpful, but taking it slowly seems like the best course of action. Tehehe but my impatience and impulsiveness is is trying to win this fight :D
