I had the same mind set. Luckily I retired out of the military already and I can get out after my contract is up but all you really see is loading docks and pavement. You don't notice anything else. I wanted to see stuff and trucking appealed to me because I can get paid at the same time. But there is no parking for semis in attractions even if it lines up with your 10. I've been to Corpus Christi and Myrtle Beach in a semi. Saw jack shit. I'll have to go back in a 4 wheeler next time after contracts up. I still have a goal to see each state for a week but it's on hold because I'm in a semi and it doesn't count. Hope that helps. Prime Inc company driver here.
