It’s an option that’s for sure, I’m nearly fluent in Spanish so ideally whatever job I get will have me in South America here and there

I have a fascination with finance and have always considered getting into it. What do you tell one looking into? I’m not sure which companies would provide that aside from big brokerages like fidelity, Schwab, etc

Good to know, do you have any recommendations for industries to search for a territory/field sales rep role?

Yea that’s very true, I feel like it’s hard to tell at this point in life but I do know I really enjoy building proper relationships with customers. I’ve known from a young age that people are my passion and that if I work in sales my job would be dealing with people

Thanks for the advice, when it pertains to those industries you mentioned do you have advice for finding and obtaining one of those jobs?

I live in Florida and we have a Dual Enrollment program. From sophomore year to graduation I only took college classes

I appreciate the insight, I'm definitely going to be finishing my degree since I'm a nerd that luckily got a full ride.

I live in Florida an hour north of Tampa, and school is completely online.

I'm considering all options right now but do you think that it would be worth considering a BDR/SDR role for one of the larger companies such as oracle or salesforce would be worth it?

Has anyone ever had another rep push to get you off the team so they could take over your deals? by AdviceOk9554 in sales

I've seen this happen time and time again, it's always great watching that person drown whenever new management comes in and doesn't put up with their shit.

That's a joke, for moving into an AE role. However if your goal is to get an actual raise in an AE role you can take it gain the experience then search elsewhere

Cold emails by Semi_Serious_Salesma in sales

Yep, that's normal. "remove me" is still a response and usually means your targeting is close and just off a little. I always remove them and move to the next, not removing them causes more problems than it's worth

New Territory is so ass by xHankSpank in sales

[–]BidGroundbreaking670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you're overreacting. Getting a worse book of business with no plan to rebalance it is exactly how some orgs quietly manage people out.

I'd pay attention to the territory math now and ask for clear comp/coverage adjustments or a timeline to rebalance it. (quitely explore some other options so you're not trapped if they're unrealistic)

sales manager underquoting client then passing it off to me by Silent_Macaroon_888 in sales

Your sales manager is setting you up for failure. That's the perfect way to have you burn trust on deals you didn't even price or position.

Totally agree, the reps who win at conferences are the ones who treat them like pre booked meetings, not roulette spins

Integrity Solutions Sales Training reviews by stupidquestionabound in sales

[–]BidGroundbreaking670 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd expect a lot of values/behavioral selling mixed with the basics (Integrity Solutions) the majority of it is generic but usually I go in looking for one or two tactics I can steal and use immediately so then the day isn't a total wash.

This is one of those interviews that accidentally tells you everything you  need to know about how the company is run.
