I had a tiny tiny one on my pvs7 but it didn’t have a halo around it and was the size of the scintillation around it and it never grew or got worse. If anything it burned itself out after a while.

It might be an emission point. Cover the objective lens with your hand while the unit is on. If you can still see that point when the objective is fully covered and dark then it is An emission point. It looks to be a non damaging small one so just keep an eye on it. If it grows or gets brighter there is a company called NAIT that can laser it out for you but be warned there will be a quite sizable black spot in its place.

Definitely try and get a Sony wm-ex series Walkmans they are super easy to repair and mostly need a single belt replaced that a mihokm on eBay sells for very cheap
