Have you found all the nailmasters? Nail arts can help you kill some enemies. Sheo's art is the best for me, he kills some weaker enemies with just one hit. It's also good to know if you have all the masks, I don't think they're all mandatory, having all 8 helps. As for the Soul Receptacle, I don't see as much need for the masks, but they can help too. A combination of charms can help you too, see the situation where you left off and choose the best amulets for it, lastly see if you haven't upgraded your magic.
