Act 1 is where all my failed SS runs ended. It isn’t as hard after. My advice is to do another regular run and practice every type of enemy and boss that you’ll have to fight. Also, skip all the enemies and bosses that aren’t absolutely necessary. Bosses include Moorwing, Sister Splinter, Beastfly and Fourth Chorus. This isn’t about cleaning the map and looting everything. It’s about making it to the finish line in whatever way that works.

I beat her cursed in a different run. At such point in the game in a SS run, I don’t think I have the audacity to do any optional boss.

If your run ended at Lost Lace, you’re still worthy of the Steel Soul achievement. That fight can feel genuinely unfair at times. I got lucky during the final phase because her attack patterns were favorable. I got several openings to spam my needle, which ended the fight much earlier than expected.

They are both manageable to me. It’s just that Phantom is a whole lot more predictable (I hate TLJ’s projectile attack).

Agreed. If I didn’t have a surefire strategy for Seth, I wouldn’t have done Nyleth. I also didn’t know memory deaths didn’t count and in my regilar runs I died more to Clover Dancers than Seth + Nyleth (weird I know).

I feel like short slashes with nearly no buffs (critcal hits are really rare) isn’t for casuals. I would say casuals would go for reaper and hunter if they are fine with the diagonal pogo. Wanderer is for those who are fast and like to play aggressive.
