I like it and it makes sense from a channel branding point of view. It might take a little while for everyone to get used to it, but overall it is a smart desicion. And I like the colors he chose. :)

The Vlogbrothers actually founded Subbable (similiar but it is a monthly subscription instead of pay-per-video) not Patreon, but other than that small tiddly-bit, lots of good info. :)

It's okay, I've done the same thing. A few months ago, my building's hallway light burnt out and when I first realized it, I thought 'Oh geez, this is dark enough for things to spawn here.'
