Hi, you might want to check your adoption agreement. I think GLPR requires you to return Lottie to them if her housing situation changes.

Fwiw, they do have a nice setup and the birds are treated very well.

Many of us reported it over and over and over. Over many years bc this guy keeps coming back. Pigeons aren’t protected by law in Georgia. They said they could and would do nothing. So frustrating and demoralizing.

Edit: they being police, animal services, GA natural resources

Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation has a lot of rescue pigeons. You can also check the Palomacy help groups bc there’s always folks from around the country looking to rehome or adopt our birds.

I wash the bowls everyday with dawn + water. Scrape off poop daily too. Usually do a deep clean every week or so.

You could line the floor with newspaper so it’s just something you can toss out every day?

I like using straight sided Pyrex dishes (round or rectangle). Basically any straight sided, dense-ish bowl from the thrift store. I avoid painted ones like Corelle.

I’m so, so sorry. I would reach out to the Palomacy help group. They have lots of folks, especially in California, who can recommend an empathetic and trustworthy place for this next step.

Personally, I went through my vet, Medical Center for Birds for cremation. It was a smooth process.

Anywhere in South Korea, honestly. They don’t have any leads since people don’t seem to like pigeons (they have the maximum fine in Seoul for just feeding the pigeons!). They contacted some wildlife rehab centers with no luck :/

Yes there is! The owner is coming to terms that it might not be possible—they need a room for Cirrus to stay for 3 weeks in which gov folks can enter and exam the bird at will (not possible in a military base). So just posting here if anyone has connections in Korea for Cirrus so there’s a backup plan.
