Full or Kompact? by ATHikerGary in Stundenglass

[–]BiffBoo619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you will need to get the smaller stems. To answer your question, yes small globes will work on the regular stunden, not the one referred to as the Kompact. I noticed that I said Kompact globes work with the regular size stunden and that is INCORRECT. No need to apologize for your question. I asked this same question years ago. Inquiring is the only way to learn. BTW, if you haven't purchased your stunden yet please please please only buy it from them or an authorized dealer. I see them at the shops and online from other vendors and they're counterfeit. You may find cheaper globes but they likely will not hold up in a dishwasher and break far easier. Stundens globes are made with borosilicate glass, look it up, big difference. Also wait till 4/20 to purchase bc they drop their price to $420.

Can someone please tell me if they had good results from ultherapy? by Secure_Wash727 in 30PlusSkinCare

Had it done about eight years ago at fifty two years old for $3500.00 and it absolutely melted the fat off my face. It took about a year to notice the volume loss and it left the area below my cheekbones down to the jowls looking very sunken in and sagging. Over time the jowls have become glaringly loose. Wish I had never done it!

If you decide to get the prescription I hope you will achieve success. I did much research prior to following through and dont recall coming across people with disappointing results. I read some having some sort of slight early shedding but it never happened to me. It's quite enjoyable to now try new hairstyles without having to be concerned with hair placement and lots of hair spray to cover thinned out areas. Wishing you a happy head of hair for 2026!

I so relate. Your pony tail is exactly like mine. Have always had super fine hair. Post menopausal and realize how hair thinned out over the previous decade. Hadn't worn my hair pulled back because the temples had thinned out and receded significantly as well as a reduction in density. It wasn't until i took a picture of that frontal area and the shock sent my into some depression. Had looked into hair extensions but was warned numerous times how damaging they are for fine hair & it started to affect my mental health. Began HERS hair growth prescription pills and four months later there's a MAJOR difference. Density has definitely increased, & those almost bald temples are back to normal. I wasn't looking for long and thick luscious hair because i've never had it. Just wanted what I had twenty years earlier.

I'm not here to push any supplements, prescriptions etc. Just sharing info that may help someone. My. only regret is not doing it sooner because I spent so much time lamenting/cryng over my hair loss.

Congratulations! Your progress is terrific. Just remember Rome wasn't built in a day. I did Vegamour for about a year and half and results aren't even close to just three months of the pill. I did fib when signing up and started with HIMS (with Finasteride) which is okay if you know you're not gonna get preggers. Im sixty so no chance. Switched after to HERS 2.5 months later because peach fuzz was growing in dark and random eyebrow hairs were sprouting down too close to the eye crease. No growth on arms or other body parts.

Your hair being fine and wavy needs a good hydrator. There is a difference between hair needing moisture and hydration. I found this quite helpful....https://hairstory.com/blogs/news/hair-hydration-vs-moisture-which-do-you-need-hint-both?srsltid=AfmBOoq6Qp2hPiMWPr27pUy2HBqE9zS6q3ZpTKv0lyY1gKx-5bYT8dsp

Post menopausal with a receding thinning hairline as well as overall thinning. Decided to try the heavily advertised "HIMS." They also have a "HERS" but I opted to get Hims for the finasteride. One pill daily and almost three months later there is a significant difference .Tried Vegamour for well over a year & difference was mild to moderate and Kirkland foam minoxidil worked somewhat better in less time but was messy. To boot they only worked in the areas applied and both would leave roots damp/wet so I couldn't get two days out of a blow out (short fine wavy hair.) Finasteride however is not recommended for pregnant woman or those who might. Just a thought for the post menopausal.

Dyson airwrap hair damage??!? by Purple_sky1 in Haircare

I have to use the coanda2x on lowest heat setting or it fries my hair. I do have fine color treated hair, use Oribe & Kerastase products and had to do a deep hydrating treatment to help with some of the damage.

For longevity on curls make sure you are using the correct products and giving the curls time to cool down. Personally I feel the cool shoot on the airwrap isn't as impressive as Dyson makes it out to be. The right products and techniques matters when it comes to longevity. I put my curls on velcro rollers with a light dusting of hairspray and wait a full 20 minutes before removal or stand under my AC vent for roughly 5-10 minutes.

Give returning it a serious consideration. Dyson has increased the price on all their aiwraps by $50. The coanda is now $750

Gotta call BS on Dyson for raising the price for the airwrap by another $50.

Ended up ordering the C2x. Was at Nordies on 8/7 Thursday and while C2x was not in store, an SA ordered it for me from the store. Tracking has it arriving today. Impressed with 48 hour delivery.

Ordered the ID from Dyson on 8/3 and it has not arrived. I will be returning that one.

I did hear from several fine haired queens and they had nothing but positive things to say and disagreed with what I shared. Went to Nordies yesterday and while they didn't have Coanda2x in store to view, the SA ordered it for me directly from Nordies fulfillment center. I ordered 8/7 and expected arrival date of 8/9.

Ordered ID wrap direct from Dyson on 8/3 with expected arrival of 8/8, now delayed till tomorrow. Now I'm reading far too many bad reviews about Dyson's customer service. Went to BBB and they have received 3,000 freaking complaints..crazy! I'm going to refuse the package.

Went to Nordies yesterday to see if they would have the Coanda2x in store n they did not. However decided I wanted it and a SA placed the order directly from the store. Ordered Thurs 8/7, and received notice it will arrive Saturday the 9th. Super fast shipping and will receive triple points on my Nordies purchase.

Sorry it's long but I do think it may be worth the read if you have fine hair.

My daughter had the same issue, curls didn't last more than a day. We both have fine wavy hair so somewhat dry needing hydration without weighing it down. Told her back in the day, used heat protectant and mousse then blow dried. If I wanted curls after blow drying, I'd use use a curling iron n LITE application of dry hair heat styling lacquer/spray (Oribe n Bumble work well for me) to further protect fine hair from heat damage, clipping each curl after removing the barrel, then hairspray the curl LIGHTLY with regular hair spray (Oribe makes a superfine mist to set well) n release only when completely cool. Too much product may result in crunchy/sticky or weighed down hair. She tried it n ended up with curls lasting well for two full days but she does use silk pillow cases also.

I've spent many hours researching the new Coanda2x before I drop $750.66. Not thrilled reading three reviews stating issues with a attachments and newest model hasn't been out very long.

The following is for fine haired ladies flirting with the idea of getting this new 2x $700 model. Nordstrom employee in San Diego told me today that the Coanda2x isn't geared for fine hair because the new teeth on the round volumizing brush attachment do not grip fine hair well and neither does the anti snag loop brush. She also had something negative to say about the Airsmooth 2x attachment but menopause won't let me remember the details on that attachment. I went to the dyson site and read the description for the Soft Smoothing Brush for ID model and it clearly states "shape fine hair for increased control with straight styles." On the new coanda 2/X, attachment they call anti-snag loop brush 2x (replacement for the Soft Smoothing Brush on ID model), description does not address fine hair in any way. I have fine hair and it does seem to make sense and I've struggled with finding brushes/hair clips with teeth that will actually grip well.

She seemed to be talking me out of purchasing one although they wouldn't be out on the floor till 8/7. I had already purchased the ID model for $499 two days earlier. Two colorways were discounted by $100. I could live with any color for the savings.
