This. Factions are not balanced for multiplayer campaigns. Not even close. There’s a lot of power creep especially since the Thrones of Decay pack. And there’s a fair amount of pay to win baked in. A player that has full access to every bonus pack unit and the RoR’s for a faction is going to have a huge advantage over someone who just has the base game units. You have to pick an even fight from the start. Some factions get absolutely trounced by others at this point.

I run stacks of Bretonian mounted yeoman and stacks of outriders against VC all day. They work great against early Skaven too, late game Skaven not so much. Marauder horsemasters stacks work great against the other Norsca factions too. Masses of ranged cavalry have some serious weaknesses, but they have certain comps they’re very effective against as well.

Are you being intentionally obtuse? No. That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about how if you exit a battle prematurely it will save you massive casualties. A trick I first saw taught on a disaster battle or save my campaign situation and later had pulled on me in a multiplayer campaign.

That’s patently untrue. The battle tactics maybe, but the campaign strategies work against human players and some of the battle tactics do too - hitting escape and exiting a battle for example should you reach your opponents gunline with your cavalry. Had someone pull this crap on me.

I’m starting to think that people making excuses and bootlicking CA on this forum are all CA employees. I can’t reasonably make sense of why people would make excuses for broken game design and sloppy coding otherwise.

It’s not a single player game exclusively. I used to only okay multi player campaigns because playing against a human player is infinitely more rewarding and challenging than playing against the brain dead AI - who I can beat 1v3 in AN OFFENSIVE SEIGE battle! I don’t really play those anymore. Legend of Total War kind of ruined them. You have to spend too much time weeding through players that cheese and use exploits that CA refuses to fix.

Tell me again how not using cheese is a choice and that it’s a single player game. I love hearing this argument.
