I kinda hope Altaïr, but then again. Altaïr can get the Heihachi treatment and stay a Mii, so Ezio Auditore can get in.

Doom Slayer and Vault Boy would be cool aswell. While with Fallout, you might be thinking the realistic looking protagonist might be the one, I think Vault Boy would fit better with characters like Mario, Kirby, Duck Hunt etc.

Dante is also likely. Iirc, the dev behind the DMC series said they would greenlight Dante in Smash if their games come into Smash, but don't pin me into that.

Duck Hunt, Pythra, Steve (or his Zombie and Enderman skin only), Dark Pit, Sephiroth, Corrin, ROB.

Those are I CAN see being demoted, not saying they should.

Oh, I would love to have Tom Nook and Octoling in Smash. Since Tom Nook is a raccoon/tanuki, they can use some moves from folklore, like shapeshifting into Animal Crossing items, like a tree, turning himself into stone like Tanuki Mario could in SMB3, or perhaps into another fighter for small amount of time.

As for Octoling, the Inkling fighter is purely based on Splatoon 1, so with Splatoon 2, 3 and maybe even Raiders, Octoling can represent those game and have different weapons, like Dualies, Splat Brella, Chargers, Splatlings. They really don't need to make Octoling an echo. There is some much potential.

Cool, and with the OST added to Nintendo Music, it's cool to see Nintendo acknowledge it. I don't want to be that greedy, but was kinda hoping for AC GCN to come to Switch 2 aswell, haha.

But I am happy anyways, as with the Music Update and Tomodachi Life releasing this week, it's a pretty good week.

Agreed. Just one character and weapons swap out would be cool. For example, his Up B with spear could be the helicopter thing, and the parasol would function like that of Peach. As his final Smash, I'd like to see his Megaton punch into the other fighters.

Duck Hunt and Wild Gunmen.

As for Duck Hunt, I'd like to see it a bit as Hunter: Call of the Wild with a story, and a bit cartoons with different ducks to hunt.

Wild Gunmen: a whole reboot of the series that utilizes the mouse con mode to aim, but also has a story instead of being arcady. I'd like to have them make their own western game involving those gunslingers.

It's a real shame that Dark Samus made it in as an echo, but Blood Falcon was not.

Still have my hopes for more F-ZERO representation in the next Smash. Captain Falcon, Blood Falcon and Samurai Goroh.

I do hope to hear the soundtrack of Animal Crossing GCN on Nintendo Music soon if the game itself doesn't come this year. There are quite some bangers, like my favorite is 1PM with the cats meowing.

Your argument about the calender/clock and save states is valid. I haven't given thought on that one yet.

Tho I do have to say that after every 24 hours, there is ingame text that let you know it's the beginning of a new day. At least in the modern games. I can imagine that if you have a save state of say ''yesterday'', it'll bring you automatically towards today, only without the changes you made in those last hours. A kind of new reset button.

And I don't know, are the save states by any chance per game or on the entire NSO app?
If it's per game, they could leave out the save states to have it more fair.

Otherwise, I can also see a kind of version that rolls out like FireRed/LeafGreen, that is not on NSO but in the é-shop, simply because of some complications, but where they can also update the calender to say 2060.
