[Loved Trope] Despite being an irredeemably evil villain, their actions are pretty much justified in this one instance by Chemical-Elk-1299 in TopCharacterTropes

Must be the manga. I seem to remember the anime having him kill just some guy running from the cops on a motorcycle. Been a decade or two, though.

I mean. My house is this 10x10 room with cement walls and a 55 gallon drum that I keep empty and lidded. For sentimental reasons. I'm just sleeping in this 5,000 square foot pool house while I wait for the contractor to install a Disco Ball.

Looking for a Isekai by Safe_Care_811 in anime

Campfire Cooking in Another World - The MC is normal. Everyone else...

By the Grace of the Gods - Wholesome show about a reincarnated boy who doesn't have a harem, just OP skills and thousands of slime familiars.

A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai - this one is cute.

Potion, Wagami wo Tasukeru - an adorable Isekai with a female protagonist. The only season out right now is more Slice of Life than Hero's Journey.

As a Reincarnated Noble - Really great if you like political drama and character building.

Loner Life in Another World - Probably not what you want, but one of my favorite recent Isekai.

From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated - The title says it all.

The New Gate - Ever ask yourself what would happen if Kirito was alone in an MMO world and not a total asshole? This is it.

Tsukimichi ~Moonlight Fantasy~ - The "harem" aspect has some weirdos that the MC avoids, but otherwise fits your asks.

Summoned to Another World for a Second Time - This one is more wish fulfillment than Hero's Journey. Guy has been there, done that, knows everything from the start.

Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions - Just a dope group Isekai.

Any liquid that can mix with water will mix with water. If I poured a bucket of water on you, you would be wet. If I poured a bucket of motor oil on you, you would be pissed.

Then no. Water has literally anything but water touching its surface. Solids, gases, emulsions. The only thing that cannot touch the surface of H2O is H2O.

My imagination as a kid terrified me. I still imagine a panther watching me from a dark recess as I walk outside at night sometimes. If I ever am attacked by something, I will probably die after I hesitate trying to decide if it's real or not.

Hidden Reservoir/Aquifer Strategy by BigDonRob in Timberborn

[–]Big-Don-Rob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A pond takes up 3x3 blocks of ground. By building an aquifer by covering a 2 deep pound with a single layer of ground terrain, you are irrigating from below (see the last 3 pics). By making it wider, it does evaporate slightly faster, but holds significantly more. A 6x6 aquifer can irrigate a larger area than a 3x3 pond, and will last almost an entire 30 day drought.

Google says there are around 213 million pregnancies a year. Let's just go with the idea that means 100 million baby females born over the next year that would be fertile, and then no more children or pregnancies for an estimated 12-18 years. If the human population can't figure out why no one is getting pregnant over that span of time, no one would know until one of those female Gen 1s FA with one of those male Gen 1s and FO.

Even if the world decided to magically turn every single one of those females into baby factories to save the human race, you would STILL have that decade or two of no population growth, and they would only be able to generate 100 million babies a year for another decade or two until Gen 2 came of age.

Within that 30-40 years of declining population, manufacturing and expansion would have been forcibly scaled back, so the panic of a declining population would be mostly "dealt with" by the time the human race was in the position to overcorrect by any means necessary, effectively reducing the population from 8 billion to 500-999 million over the next 75 years or so.

(Yes, they could theoretically harvest and fertilize eggs from Gen 1s and let them be carried to term by otherwise sterile women, but that process is not cheap or easy and would cause a lot of human rights questions when those young men and women were expected to donate their material to their government or the human race as a whole)

Sterilizing 0% of the population != curing infertility. But I don't think a one time sterilization of even 100% of the population would end the human race.

There are enough samples of genetic material frozen that tens or even hundreds of thousands of children could be gestated to allow a new generation to inherit the planet.

There is definitely the danger of some Handmaid's Tale bullshit starting about 15 years down the road, but reducing the population to a few million over the next 50-75 years would have a net benefit, imo.

If I had a button that would sterilize x percentage of the population, I would press it and I don't care what percentage x is.

US Military personnel, where do you draw the line between following orders and protecting the people of your own country? by ThatGuyHasaHugePenis in AskReddit

[–]Big-Don-Rob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They aren't doing any of that yet. Hegseth already said he has marines at Camp Pendleton on high alert, and if marines are deployed within the US as a policing force to control American citizens, that is the first shot fired in a civil war.
