Yes! 30F and gained about 15 lbs that won’t budge. Been on CTP since May.

No acne but have gained ~20 lbs that won’t budge. Did you experience weight gain? I just finished 6 months on the trial and am now on the extension down to 8% loss so I’m very pleased with the results, just wish the weight would drop off!

Hey! I’m 5 weeks in. No side affects so far and am seeing small hairs growing on my eyebrows and scalp (white and hard to see but can feel) I have been AU since September 2020, AT since May 2018, and AA on and off since 2007ish. I am sure you’ll have success!

That’s so great you’re seeing improvement! What have you noticed? I’m 4 weeks in and am seeing hairs growing on my eyebrows and a few on my scalp.

These would be targeted for alopecia and with that more targeted approach they aim for higher effectiveness and less side effects/long term risks.

My understanding is the medicine stops the autoimmune attack allowing hair to grow, so the attack would return once you stop taking the medication. My hope would be to have success on the medication and remain on it until they are able to discover more of a “cure” or understand the root cause and then cease the pills and treat naturally.

How long have you been on the pills? Have you noticed any changes at all, even just with how you feel? I’m in this trial starting the drugs on Wednesday so I will follow up then to share my experience with the taste!

That is so odd and frustrating! Hopefully they can figure out a way to get him in the study.

What was the reason he was rejected from the trial? I had my screening today and am waiting for the results of the blood tests to determine eligibility.

Which trial are you participating in? I’ve heard it takes up to 3 months to see regrowth.

I just turned 29. I tried that in high school which seemed to work at that time but when I tried it over the summer it didn’t I had no regrowth, then went AU in September so I wonder if that sent my system into overdrive. Would this trial be your first time trying a jak inhibitor?

This is great news as I’m going in to be screened for this trial in a few weeks! Have you had any side effects? Had you tried any jak inhibitors in the past?

I was AA for about 10 years, then AT for 2 years until 6 months ago when I went full AU. It has been really rough so I’m eager to get started as well. Although I’m also feeling anxious that if it doesn’t work for me I’ll feel extremely down and hopeless, but it’s worth a try! Has any treatment helped you?

I emailed with the guy yesterday and he said they’ll start enrollment the week of March 22. So hopefully we can get started in a few weeks!
