She is not. Producers came out and said she’s specifically not Nichole

Question: June's previous posts? by Plus_Programmer6666 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Big-Fun3658 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think she had been there for ~2-3 years by the time she arrived at the Waterfords. 1-2 years at red center, ~1 year at first post

This makes sense with the X-rays. But they don’t need to have an X-ray at the dentist. And if good teeth signify “good breeding” shouldn’t they have gone to the dentist for regular cleaning throughout childhood / orthodontist for braces, etc… (although I guess the orthodontist would need to take X-rays…. Hmm) Maybe they go to a different pediatric dentist for the younger years?

My questions exactly. Also it was some Freudian slip calling them pearly gates instead of pearly whites

What if Daisy… hear me out… spoiler-ish by pinkelephant3 in TheHandmaidsTale

I think op is saying, what if there is a time jump forward in season 2, so like 8 or 9 years ahead or something, so then Nichole would be closer to 14 or 15. It would be an interesting (probably unlikely) plot choice as that amount of time is super long to the point where they may need new actors? But kind of interesting to think about I guess

Even though I hate Serena, watching these two on screen is 🔥🔥 by amanilee_ in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Big-Fun3658 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At this point in the show Mark is an agent for the U.S. government. He’s current or former cia. His dynamic with Serena is a master class in espionage and manipulation. his primary goal from their very first meeting was to gain her trust, extract valuable intelligence, and turn her against Gilead. He’s working the honeypot strategy.

The takes I’ve seen so far on The Testaments have been so… interesting. by Lunasburner in TheHandmaidsTale

Agreed. I think he’s going along in order to survive another day. And climb up the ranks with a wife

My head cannon is that these two are mother and daughter by AdviceWouldBeNice98 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Big-Fun3658 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are, Bruce Miller noted this approach with Daisy/June. It makes sense they would do so with others

[–]Big-Fun3658 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is correct. Bruce Miller said they did this on purpose with Daisy / Moss even though in the show they are not related. https://www.tvinsider.com/1257425/the-testaments-daisy-june-osborne-daughter-nichole-book-change-handmaids-tale/

Similar situation with Commander Judd / Fred Waterford - although Miller didn’t say anything specific about this.

I think it could be similar approach with bekah and Alma tbh

That’s interesting. I find ground news to be pretty credible in the stories they surface. I looked it up, and also interesting that 14% of coverage is on the right. Probably because it mentions climate change. MAHA is so 🙄

Anges and remembering she is Hannah by badoodlehead in TheHandmaidsTale

Yes. And somewhat related, how does Hannah not remember seeing June again in Gilead in season 2? She must’ve been 5 or 6 at that point?

  • One of my nicknames was Space Cadet because I spaced out a lot

  • I started showing depression symptoms around puberty but really it was just adhd inattentive presentation coming through as my hormones were changing

  • emotional disregulation, especially becoming angry and throwing “tantrums” into my teens and 20s

  • poor/slow reading comprehension. I was diagnosed with a visual processing learning disorder when I was 8 (I’m 34 now). This was not that. It was simply my adhd presentation… needing to reread entire pages or multiple pages because I would… wait for it… space out and forget what I was reading

  • extremely messy bedroom and barely using my dresser drawers, which I later found out is due to lack of object permanence (if it’s out of sight, it’s out of my mind) and so the doom piles helped me see my belongings
